I've got a new bad feeling about this movie. I saw a trailer on TV with the song.... IRON MAN playing in the background. Is that their idea of creativity?
"So, you're making the soundtrack to the new movie, Iron Man?" "Yeah, and it's really hard. I tried thinking of things that rhyme with Iron Man, but the only thing I came up with was Iron Ham... Iron Ham isn't even a song, or a band's name... Wait, yep, I got it..." "Well, what is it? "You're gonna' love this." "...Well?" "Iron Man." "Iron Man?" "Iron Man." "The famous song by, Black Sabbath?" "That's right. Iron Man." "Wouldn't that be too obvious?" "Wouldn't it be too obvious to not not have it in the movie?" "... I'm sorry but either you're gonna' have to make a comment or a complaint. 7-11 has not hired me to deliver advice, unless its related to one of our products." "...Iron Man could make 7-11 Iron Ham hot dogs." *click* For some reason that's exactly how I imagine it, and most other things. |

Great assumption: "well they played the song that's the same as the title, must be bad." Of course they're going to play it. I also heard Cochise by Audioslave and Back in Black by AC/DC in the trailer, so not every song has to relate to the title.
You probably also complained when Aerosmith covered Spider-man on the movie soundtrack... Geez...come back when you have a real complaint. |

I've never been a big fan of comic book movies, except for the first couple of Christopher Reeve Superman movies and most of the Batman franchise (sorry, George Clooney - I adore you, man, but, really...yikes!). But...I can't wait for IRON MAN.
It's an absolute joy to see Robert Downey, Jr. kicking ass and taking names in a big budget extravaganza. He's such a wonderful actor, and had such a long, long road back from the brink, that I would love to see him have a big, huge, juicy hit. I wish him every success, and continued good luck and sobriety. Can't help myself - I just love this guy. And the trailer rocked!!! |

I have always liked IronMan, in fact h was the first comic book character that got me into it. THIS is the movie I've been waiting for. |

Two Thumbs up from Phillips (Ebert Stand In) and Roeper.
Plus, this guy doesn't have "chief critic" after his name for nothing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB4loah_sXw Great style? Packs a punch? Classy? Super charged? Really Good? Oh yeah! The reason I'm intrigued by the Michael Phillips rave review is because he says it's more fun then Transformers but it's also well acted and intelligent. So, if it's fun AND smart then what's not to like? |
