01-12-10Feel the same about 3 Iron. I liked it enough but the fortune cookie platitudes at the end left a sour taste. For me it's Kim's best film though, Spring, Summer's self-orientalism annoys me and The Isle, although certainly interesting, is undone by grotesquery. The Bow and Time are pretty standard stuff as well. Steer clear of Address Unknown and The Coastguard, the kind of miserablist rubbish that defined his pre-Spring pessimism.
