Our holidays were quite. My daugher-in-law and her kids went to France to visit friends, so part of our Christmas was delayed until last week after they got back. My wife broke her arm some months ago, took some extensive surgery and hardware to put it back in place. Then she developed a staph infection and was back in the hospital the day after Thanksgiving for 3 operations trying to clean that out. Seemed to be doing OK, but then on New Year's day the surface signs of infection erupted again. Back into the hospital for yet another operation to remove all of the hardware. Also removed her elbow and inserted an antibiotic "spacer". Doc says in 3-6 months when he's sure all of the infection is gone, he'll go back in and implant an artificial elbow. But actually we're doing better than that sounds.

Been well for a guy my age and condition. How are you doing? Were your holidays happy?
