This film is one of the best films of the year and perhaps one of the best films of the decade.

Forget umm...whoever it is who won the Academy Awards for actor and supporting actor in 2019: Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe gave the male performances of that year.

The Lighthouse cracks with enough "WTF" moments, along with old-sea style dialogue that the casual movie-goer would walk out in ten minutes...as my wife did when she left me alone in the basement to finish the film.
