In fact it's more of a psychological thriller that twist and turns along the way as Clint who's a wounded Civil War soldier fighting for the North, ends up in a southern school girl plantation, where he's both guest and captive.

Geraldine Page was superb, as always, as the head of the school, as were the lovely Elizabeth Hartman as the teacher and JoAnn Harris as a horny 17 year old who throws herself at McBurney throughout.
