Whats funny is I think Howard would be perfect to direct any Lovecraft story. His pacing, character development, and rich storytelling first type style sounds like a great fit.

I don't want to give away too much, but the film is set at about the same time that Lovecraft wrote his story, and besides being probably the best visual presentation of Lovecraft on screen, it's also very cleverly written and carries the viewer back in time through a diary and journal and even ties....
