It is a lot of babbling, but you may still like to read it.

Hi there. I don't usually check this section of the site and am not too familiar with it. I would love to read your review of 1776, but I went looking for it and can't seem to find it. Could you send me a link? Thanks and Happy Independence Day!

Seeing that you like 1776 (and I remember that would've been your nomination had that Musical Hall of Fame happened a couple of years ago), I thought that you might be interested in reading my rambling review. Nothing too exciting, but it is long and written by a person who is a little crazy when it comes to the movie.

Yeah, I took the showing of the beating to be what really happened, too, with his wife creating a story. I honestly never thought of it as being something that was just going through Ennis' mind. So that is an interesting idea.

And you know, in a sad (almost twisted - for lack of a better word) way, Ennis was kind of to blame for what happened to Jack. It was sad that he just couldn't accept himself as he was. Because if he would've accepted himself, you know Jack would've been with just him. He never would've gone down to Mexico - I am going to assume that he was down there again (I honestly can't remember whether they said or not). And he never would've been killed. Of course, Jack didn't have to do what he did, but if he could've been with Ennis - which is what you know he wanted - he wouldn't have done anything like that again. I really don't think so.

That is funny that you say that about Heath Ledger because I remember people complaining about how hard it was to understand what he was saying when the movie was out. I wonder if it would've been easier to understand in a loud movie theater.

And you know what? I use the subtitles for everything. I was watching the third Lord Of the Rings - this was years ago - and I couldn't understand a word they were saying. I gave in and used the subtitles and I have used them ever since. They are quite convenient sometimes. And I find myself getting mad when a movie doesn't provide them.
