View Full Version : How would you get into bed if you were only two inches tall?

You're walking home from school and you get into your house and suddenly, for no explainable reason, you shrink to a height of only two inches? You have to get into your bed, but how? Using other people or pets as a means to get in are impossible. 1, 2, 3, Go!!!

Looking around my room, in it's exact current state, I've got a couple opportunities.

The first would be to climb on top of a blanket that is curled up infront of the nightstand on the right side of my bed. I'm sure it would collapse a little under the weight, but I think it'd be high enough that I could jump from there to the bottom of the night stand. From there I could perform a Herculean jump to the side of my bed frame (and if I miss, I'll just land on the blanket). I would then have to walk the edge to the bottom of the boxframe, where I could climb to that, a top the little edge that doesn't have the mattress directly on top of it. Then I'd have to use the sheet to pull myself up. Done and Done.

The other way. I think concievably, given my dimensions, that I would be able to climb my lamp vertically. It'd be taxing, but I think it could be done. Then I'd have to make the massive jump from the swivel lamp and hope my bones don't break on my blanket. The light is on though...so lets hope it doesn't burn me.

How would you do it?

I have to seem fatalistic, but if my cat saw me, I wouldn't stand a chance.
That said, at two inches, my best shot would be climbing the curtains (stepping on the stitching at the edges) and then jumping to the bed.

hmmm.... I guess the only way is to somehow try and climb the night stand. Maybe climb the lamp cord, it is a heavy lamp so I think it would hold the weight. Then just jump from there to the bed. The night stand is quite close to the bed so I shouldn't fall.

Why would you want to go to bed when you've just shrunken to two inches?
I would get help and for someone to call a scientist.

If I were only two inches tall, I wouldn't even try to get in my bed… it's too high… and my cat sleeps up there… The safest place for me would be in her cat carrier… it's on the floor and I can shut the door… and the cat won't go near it… :D

i was thinking of building a very long ladder out of matchsticks but im not sure. Easiest way to get into best? Sleep on the carpet or a rug and pull the tassels over me for warmth, why try to climb into a bloody great big bed when i could make a vertically challenged persons perfectly sized bed.

This doesn't answer your question at all, but I definitely wouldn't bother with my bed. I have a large comforter and could probably find a way to climb that in tandem with the bed frame, but I'd probably end up killing myself convincingly trying to get down.

I'd find my cell phone, step on the keys and call Rick Moranis.

If I were only two inches tall, the last thing I would be thinking is how to get into my bed. I think I might be focused with not becoming rodent, insect, or any other type of food…. That, and trying to figure out ways of getting into the local Catholic School for girls shower room.

I’m so terribly bad, I must look for some porno. HAIL TO THE CHIEF, BABY!!!
