Happy New Year!

Well, technically its still 2004 for me at the time of writing this, but it's 2005 in parts of the world like the Arctic so if anyone's checking this glorious site out over there then Happy new Year to them :)

What do you hope for in 2005?

How was your 2004?

Are you glad its over?

What are your New Years Resolutions?

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?

2004 was a relatively good year for me. i had a great birthday, Had an awsome summer and a great holiday in America. Some awsome films came out this year that i thoroughly enjoyed. and my family and friends ahve all be lucky, healthy and happy this year. My family have had a very hard time the last few years, several robberies to my dad's business, our house flooded several times, ruining Christmas and New Year of 2002 was the worst. But this year it was pretty uneventfull and im thankful for that. but as always i hope that 2005 is just as good and hopefully better in many ways. I'll be finishing my Univeristy Degree this year, so lets hope i get on ok with the soul destroying amounts of work i have ahead of me. But as this year will be the year i leave my univeristy life, ive got a whole world of choices ahead of me and i hope i make the right ones. One of which will be travelling! So hopefully 2005 will be the year i get to see the world :D

For this evening, my parents house is playing host to all of my closest friends and family for an UBER party which should be awsome, i think its meant to be a Murder mystery party which could be interesting.

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year to you too blibby and to everyone. It sounds like you'll have a great party tonight blibo. Have fun! Post pic's if you can. :)

How was your 2004?
The first half and into the summer was very good, but the past few months have been rocky. There's lots to be thankful for though...and lots to for forward too.

Are you glad its over?
YES! With my kids birthdays right before christmas, the end of the year is always so hectic. I'm always glad to bring the new year.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
There are a few I won't share here...but superficial wise...I want to do alot of painting to the house. I did some painting this fall and of course it's inspired me put fresh coat of paint on some rooms/halls.

I'd also like get out to the theatre more this year.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
We'll just have our own little family party. We'll rent a movie and I usually make a gourmet type of dinner. I'm sure the kids will want to stay up this year 'til midnight. It will be quiet, but cosy.

What do you hope for in 2005?
That my websites continue to grow, and that my income remains steady so that I can get an apartment. It's time.

How was your 2004?
Great in professional terms; ups and downs, personally. Things have worked out for the best, though, I think.

Are you glad its over?
Actually, no. It was a very interesting, eventful year, and one in which I took special notice of the passage of time. For the first time, I'd welcome life slowing time a little, if only because it seems to be going along so very quickly these days.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
To read a bit more. I made this resolution last year, in very ambitious terms, but failed miserably. The usual stuff like exercise always applies, of course.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
Big party with just about every friend I spend any time with. Should be a lot of fun.

Have a Happy New Year, MoFos. Thanks for making this the most successful/active year in the site's history!

How was your 2004?
It had its ups and downs, i am a very resilient person so have got through the downs quite well, also my hsb is a wonderful, sensible, supportive guy. :D

Are you glad its over?
Not really, it just means I am getting older. :(

What are your New Years Resolutions?
I don't bother as I always break them.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?

What do you hope for in 2005? - Continued health of my family, (We might try for our 2nd child later in the year so that will be fun ;) ) business keeps picking up at work, and my website takes off.

How was your 2004? - Can't really complain... Nothing spectacular happened this year. Work has been a little too stressful, but hopefully things will slow down over the next few months and I can quit working long days.

Are you glad its over? - Doesn't really matter... Jan. 1st is just another day for me, not some magical new beginning.

What are your New Years Resolutions? - The usual, lose weight. I want to be here to watch my son grow up, not buried in the ground from a heart attack at 35.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening? - Posting on mofos, what else!?!

My '04 was pretty good, considering...

in '05 I hope that things are smoother

I'm glad '04 is over, it was getting a little old, lol

I lit up some fireworks and watched the WPTC, had some fun, but sitting at home with my mom isn't what i had in mind as fun

my resolution, simple, "do better"

Happy New Year All, I only got 3 hrs sleep last night but here we go with these questions as I stupidly sit here and can't be bothered going to bed now it's all over with.

What do you hope for in 2005?
That I will like my Uni course enough not to quit.

How was your 2004?
It was really awesome, so much happened that had never happened to me before, feels like a stepping stone that will lead to greater things.

Are you glad its over?
Well not in a negative sense, but I am looking forward to next year.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
To stand up for what I believe in all the time, not just when it suits me or when I feel comfortable.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
well....last evening...I drove up to Phillip Island (in Australia) to a rock festival, heard a few live bands and watched some pretty terrible fireworks then spent the rest of the night meeting new people; some more drunk than others. It's a bit odd having strangers act like they are your best friend just because it's New Years, but hey it makes for an unpredictabe and hilarious night.

What do you hope for in 2005?
Improved perspective.

How was your 2004?
It was great. Like blibby, misfortune over the last few years has taught me to appreciate quiet. Anything above that is gravy. I adopted a kooky cat, achieved several of my New Years' Resolutions, got to know a bunch of wonderful MoFo's, had a great visit from my mom... lots of good things happened.

These were my resolutions last year:
1. Powerwalk 400 miles: I did about half that, stopped counting for awhile and then stopped walking. Restarting on Monday, if not sooner!
2. Lose at least 30 lbs. Lost about half that.
3. Learn conversational Spanish: took a class at UCLA, got a B+. Now working on not forgetting every iota of it.
4. See and review at least 52 movies: did over 52 reviews, but only 50 movies.
5. Write a page a day on the novel: what?
6. Remember people's birthdays: I did pretty ok with this... still have room for improvement.
7. Take an acting class. Taxes may defeat this one... It's not pretty, this year: taxes did defeat it. I'm planning to put this year's bonus into an acting class, though.
8. Make a web page for my jewelry: done. Up. Running. Yay!

Are you glad its over?
Not really a big issue for me. The only year I've been really glad to see die was 2001.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
1. Travel: going to England in Feb, but also want to look around So Cal a little more. There are still many places I've not been, here. Also a trip back to Ohio to see my nieces.
2. Diet, exercise, yadda yadda...: low-carb, power-walking, might google some basic Tai Chi and use it for strengthening exercices.
3. Financial: increase sales of jewelry by advertising more. Reduce monthly expenditures on things that don't add value to my life... like cable tv to watch reruns of Friends. :p
4. Creative: read a book on writing and get started on the novel that's been growing in my brain for lo these past 6 years.
5. Career: find a better job, in or out of my current company.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
I stayed in, made a nice dinner and drank a bit of rum. It's a lousy night to be on the roads in LA, so I don't mind staying home. I was chatting with cool folks and getting phone calls from friends and my mom. :)

Happy New Year, all of you MoFos!
I hope it's a good one for all of us.

Happy New Year ladies and gentlemen!!!!!

What do you hope for in 2005?

I hope to complete my BA and now that I am off medication I hope to lose the weight I gained.

How was your 2004?

It was alright. I came of my medication and haven't had a relapse, but did go through some killer withdrawals.

Are you glad its over?

Not so much that I am glad it is over but I am looking forward to 2005.

What are your New Years Resolutions?

I have to lose weight the right way.(exercise and no junk food)

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?

Last night I was very tired. I tried to socialize with my friends but ended up falling asleep at 10:30. Jason woke me at 1 minute to midnight to say "Happy New Year" and give me a kiss.

A year half as good as 2004

How was your 2004?
Flawless. Life needs to slow down because the years are getting shorter and shorter.

Are you glad its over?
Not one bit. Well, maybe because I want this summer to come now, but other than that, no because it was a great year.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
I went to my Boss' house and partied hardcore with all my old co-workers and good friends. The goal was to drink myself into a coma and though I didn't reach coma state (retrospectively thankfully), I was pretty gone and non-functional today until around 2. And I was at work at 11:30. Nice.

What do you hope for in 2005?
I dunno. Just having fun I guess. I turn sixteen in 23 days, so I am pretty pysched baout that.

How was your 2004?
Uhhh, could have been better.

Are you glad its over?
Sure, I like new things.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
1. Become healthier. I am not saying I am fat, but I could be healthier. I want to start working out or taking Yoga or Pilates. I also want to start drinking more water and eating more healthful foods.

2. Doing my best in everything I do.

3. Be everybody’s friends.

4. To read more. I know I read a lot all ready, but I want to expand my horizons.

5. BE crazy and wild. You only live once. And as somebody I know once said, “Jesus died on the cross for us, the least we could do is live in a cardboard box.”Only at appropriate times though, I want to achieve that balance between eccentricity and lady-like grace.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?
I went to a lock-in at my friends church up in North bay. 'Twas okay. A bit kiddish reallly. I had fun though, but other reasons it was just boring and sad. My best friend is ruining he rlife so that made me sort of un-happy. Anyways, four of us went to sleep on a communal bed we made out of two couches at like 5:30. We woke up at 7:00 and cleaned the place up and ate pancakes. Then my dad picked us up and we drove back to her place, picked all our stuff back and left.

In my opinion, New years day was a lot more fun than new years eve. My parents wanted to drop by at some family friends house in East Bay so we drove over there on our way back home. We ended up dropping by for more than an hour, talk about maybe six hours. Tons of fun though. Their youngest daughter is a senior and we went and drove to In and Out for some grub. It was the funniest thing ever. We were in drive through and it took me five minutes to order all the food for everyone. We were laughing so hard, because the lady kept on asking "Are you done yet? Is that all?" and when we got to the pick up window we waited another 5 minutes for our fries. Then it was so great, their giving us our food and they're like, "Wow, you guys have a big order." So we went back, watched Napolean Dynamite. Tons of fun. Didn't get home until 10:00 which was five hours later than we planned, but oh well.

Happy New Years to everyone, a tad early, but I wont have time tomorrow night.

What do you hope for in 2006?

That the people I am thinking of right now get what they hope for and need.

How was your 2005?

The best year I have had in a long time.

Are you glad its over?

I am glad there are chapters that have closed and others that have opened.

What are your New Years Resolutions?

Continue with what I am doing now. Remember to breathe and get halfway to where I wish to go in 2007.

What are you doing for the festivities this evening?

I will be sleeping.

For opportunities to finally sit down, write some quality stuff, and self-publish.

How was your 2005?
Bad. Went through some pretty nasty, heartbreaking stuff all year. It could have been worse, I guess. But it still hurts.

Yes.

I know there are several I should make, but I haven't the heart. So, I guess I'll make just one: get some stuff published.

What do you hope for in 2006?

On a parochial level, some form of government back in this country that's not allied to whatever Blair thinks will win him votes in Surbiton. On a sefish level...well, people who know will figure it out.

How was your 2005?

A lot of things happened at the start of the year that made me sad/angry but that's in the past. Onwards and sideways! :)

Are you glad its over?

I had slightly more hair this time last year, but I've got my 6 pack back (nearly) so 50-50. ;)

What are your New Years Resolutions?

Never made any, can't see the need. I have no vices, just needs which are bad for me...

What are you doing for the festivities New Years Eve?

Hopefully nothing. New Year's Eve is for people who don't visit a pub from one end of the year to the next, it's their night and I don't want to intrude. Besides, you can't move for arm-linking frivolity, the queue at the bar is fierce, your favourite seat has been nicked and you end up in a clinch with someone you find slightly unsettling when sober.

You can probably tell that I'm not really built for this time of year...

Happy New Year! :D
