No, it looks like it's in the middle of a storm. Like the storm in Florida... Eh? Eh?

Are they having thunderstorms there?

On topic: are you decorating for the holiday?

I'm not in Florida. Hence the "eh."

No, I talked my mom out of it, the less money we spend on the tree - the more presents! :D Yeah, I'm that cheap.

The title of this thread is very provacative. Almost sounded if somebody was unwrapping their present a little two early.

Anyways, great thread. Maybe I'll get a pic in here. . .

Love the photos Sammy, i'll have to post mine when i get home, i love my house at Christmas. i'm currently at Uni and our Christmas Decorations in our uni house consist of lots of catsh!t on the stairs covered in sticky tinsel, and a wonky tree on the living room table that i'm pretty sure has some ferrel rats living in it somewhere, and maybe even a few pigeons.

Here are our decorations so far. Our little plastic "Charlie Brown" looking Christmas tree. Two of our four windows are decorated. The lights look better in person. The views are from both inside and outside. See my sorry looking snow flakes I made in a hurry (they look more like ink blots).

mmmmmkay, but: people are inspired to grow them because they'll sell them, and that makes for more trees than we'd otherwise have, cleaning the air and producing Oxygen. So it's a win-win.

Actually, all American Christmas trees sold are grown in large farms that exist solely for this purpose and for each Christmas tree cut down 3 more are planted. By not buying a Christmas tree for this reason, you're preventing the growth of two more trees.

Not to mention the discarding of trees can be a very, very environmentall friendly service. Hundreds and hundreds of trees are scattered on beaches to create new sand dunes. Hell, you can throw a tree in a lake an make a several month long shelter for dozens and dozens of fish.

Edit: Just realised that post was over a year old. And come to think of it, Nitzer has been gone for a while. Oh well. Lessons never learned, I guess.

I got the tree up tonight and took about 20 pictures of it for this thread alone. All I have succeeded in doing is confirm the fact that I have the most unsteady hands in the world.

That's how I came to have that one pic where it looks like everything is on fire. :p I had to change the setting on the digi-cam so it didn't look like I had the shakes.

That looks so Christmassy, Sammy. It reminded me that I have nothing up yet. I totally forgot about decorating my place because I'm spending Christmas with family.

Heh this is left over from last year though, I just took it:

It's a dead poinsetta and the bottom half of Father Xmas. They've been there all year. :/

Well he's the bottom half of a tall and skinny Father Christmas. I had him paired with the more common red-trousered abd portly Father Xmas but he broke in half. It was quite heartbreaking actually. They were a couple for like fifteen years.
