I just picked up some gems to keep me busy till next month, Law & Order: Criminal Intent seasons 1 through 3 on DVD at Best Buy. I can't believe they only have the first 3 seasons available when they're coming out with new eps of season 8 in 3 weeks (June 8th @ 9PM). If USA execs are listening, I will buy them in a heartbeat! honeykid. I picked up the Wonder Woman box set off of eBay, from a Chinese company. A reasonable price and good copies. It is a good show and Lynda Carter is in good form, in both senses of the phrase. She used to hate being identified as WW but later had women ask her for her autograph because their husbands liked her and has come to terms with the show. She still looks good as of a few years ago.

RH is the 1950's B&W Adventures of Robin Hood with Richard Greene (143 eps). I liked the first Maid Marian best. Older but she had a bit of class. I enjoyed it and may get around to watching the lot again in a year or two.

The first 2 series of Parker Lewis are as great as most remember them. They changed everything likeable for the third series and it sucks. Parker Lewis continually Loses. Mikey is a waiter. Jerry lost his coat and is a nobody, like Shelly Lewis who lost all her fire. Kube is a hungry cypher and Musso is a man-hungry Bimbo. Frank Lemmer and Pankow have gone and we have Coach Blob in their place.

I am not a TV series kind of guy really..more of a movie freako. I don't even watch TV anymore, like i used to.

A girl-friend of mine made me watch a few "friends" episodes last year and i totally loved them. really clever dialogue.


However if there was a tv series that i would buy on dvd that would be Knight Rider , because of childhood memories...other than that.nothing really. English series like Bean and Blackadder arent really my cup of tea cause i dont really like the humour in those. Benny hill was nice, as far as english humour goes.


Finally, i ve got a lot of Muppet Show episodes and the whole Pink panther cartoons collection on DVD. i looove those two. but i dont think that they count cause i dont think they fall under the TV series category, as they are muppet/cartoon shows..but then again i might be wrong. someone enlighten me on that :D

Pretty much this. The series i'd like to have on DVD is the Closer. We get a few episodes up here in syndication, but there always seems to be a carry over element from a previous episode. I've seen season 1 for sale, but i'm not shellen out 40 bucks.

I've only watched the first two episodes, had it for ages but haven't got around to watching the rest - I've been told it gets really good about three or four episodes in because so far I've not been blown away by the series. So will see. :)

I have a friend who tried it and didn't like it. The problem is she doesnt' like the "Walter" character, which really is a problem. :D It's a shame, as it exactly the kind of thing she likes. I'd agree that it does get better, but then I didn't think it started off badly, so maybe it's preaching to the converted. :shrug: If you try again and like it, I can promise you a programme that gets better with each series. Well, it does for me anyway. I'd say the same about Dexter, and I know almost everyone disagrees with me about that.

Oo yes, I will be finishing it - I enjoyed what I have seen just not as brilliant as I thought it would be, but I'm only two episodes in, so I might end up loving it. So far, don't have a problem with any of the characters.

As for Dexter, I loved it so much that I went and bought the next three seasons after watching just the first episode. :D

I have seen Ashes To Ashes. Only the once, however. Both Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes were superb series (no one does crime series like the British), but my preference runs to Life On Mars over Ashes To Ashes...which has a lot to do with being a huge fan of John Simm's work.

Although Life On Mars is a stand alone series I do think it's a must to see Ashes To Ashes to either confirm people's thoughts on the "where" and "why" and "when" or to enlighten them.

The film Inception always reminds me of Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes.
