Fave episode: Season 2 Finale: Ep 26: "Fun House"

When Tony has E. Coli related food poisoning and has crazy dreams including sexual encounter with Dr. Melfi and then a funny but rather weird dream about uncle Pussy -in the form of a fish on ice - tells him he'd been working for the feds.

Tony: "You passed me over for promotion,"
Pussy fish: "You knew."

Fave character: Sylvio / Paulie is hilarious.

Fave Quote:

Paulie talking to Tony:
Paulie: Amazing thing about snakes is that they reproduce spontaneously.

Tony: What do you mean?

Paulie: They have both male and female sex organs. That's why somebody you don't trust, you call a snake. How can you trust a guy who can literally go f*ck themselves?

Tony: Wouldn't you think that expression would come from the Adam and Eve story? When the snake tempted Eve to bite the apple?

Paulie: Hey, snakes were f*cking themselves long before Adam and Eve showed up T.

:D
God love 'em...

My favorite episode is the season 3 finale "Army of One." If one episode represents what the show is all about, it's that one. The music is also quite fantastic, especially Dominic Chianese's rendition of Core 'ngrato.

I don't remember the season but the most memorable episode was "University".My favorite character was Adrianna but not sure whether I liked the character or because she was beautiful. :D

Fav Episode: Pine Barrens, can't remember what season this is exactly but the one where Paulie and Chris are stuck out in the snowy Pine Barrens after chasing some crazy Russian guy that they are supposed to kill. Really need to rewatch the whole box set again.

Character: I love all of them, Tony, Silvio, Paulie, Bobby Baccala etc. but I might just say Chris, some of the stuff he comes out with is just brilliant.

Quotes: There's too many, but carrying on my Chris Moltisanti love:

He gets high on heroin and sits right on Adrianna's dog, crushing it, and doesn't realize it until several hours later. It's one of the show's many "did that really just happen?" moments.

Haha yeh, that was pretty funny although a bit brutal despite it being a violent show :p

A repeated quote I like from Tony Soprano as well - "Whatever happened to Gary Cooper, the strong, silent type?"

Edit: Also watching some videos has reminded me just how much of a boss Furio was...

My favourite episode is probably the one where Pussy gets offed. They know it's going to happen and he knows it's going to happen and when it does happen it's quite touching. ;)

My favourite character fluctuates between Paulie and Adrianna - Paulie because of his old school ways, and his OCD. Ade because she's such a tragicomic sweetheart.

Brilliant picture, just checked and yes it is  The first episode of a few directed by Steve Buscemi on the show as well, really liked his character when he was on it as well.

That 'universal remote' scene is just all kinds of ROFL.

I really don't feel that about Meadow, especially since Jaime-Lynn Sigler is beyond sexy. Remember the scene where she does a striptease for her boyfriend?

Just started re-watching this show last week and figured I would revive the thread in case anyone is still interested in talking about it. I would say this and The Shield are my two favorite shows ever. Since I have only watched every episode once while they were airing I really wanted to revisit The Sopranos.

I am six episodes in and I am so glad to be back watching this show. The writing and characters are just other worldly. From the second the theme song started in The Pilot I was excited to be back in this world. Most everything is coming back to me as I watch but a couple things struck me from the first episode. We are given so much exposition in just the first hour I was really floored with how fast it started out. Artie's restaurant gets burned down, which I think is something that is still talked about in the final season. There is also so much insight from the get go into Tony's relationships with Carmella, Melfi, and Chris. I also wanted to mention Tony's mom, which is a character I really loved and remember almost everything that has transpired so far, but it is still great to see again.

In my memory of this being such a brilliant show I sort of forgot how downright funny it is. I remember it being witty for sure but I am genuinely laughing out loud multiple times each episode. It is as funny as almost any comedy I have watched the last few years.

Thus far my favorite episode has been College. I remember being drawn to that episode the first time around and it was no different this time. Our first real insight into Tony and Meadow's relationship which of course is highlighted by Tony's extremely narcissistic and sociopath behavior. Despite the fact that someone he is supposed to love more than anything else is confronting those very issues. Then Carmella's night with her priest. Some great scenes there and really breaks my heart for Carmella despite the fact that she is confessing all the faults of her character directly. Great stuff.

I will probably write a bit again at the end of season one. If anyone wants to jump in I would love to be able to have some conversation as I go along. There is certainly nothing as good as this on television to watch until Mad Men comes back in a few months.
