December is (apparently) for the Region1 release. The Nov release on the site is the Asian R3 release. They did the same with the Hellboy dvd..... got the R3 of that off of this site for £9.99 delivered 2 whole months before it hit the cinemas over here in the uk.
And come on guys, Anderson gets a lot of flack..... put it like this, the job he's done on AvP aint gonna win any awards but it could've been a lot lot worse!
I don't care much for deleted scenes... what they had to do was "delete" some scenes from the movie. I wanted for that move to be the pride and joy of all movies for this year and maybe the next... damn...
The release date for Alien vs. Predator (Region 1) is January 11, 2005.
It comes out along with :
- The Land Before Time XI: The Invasion of the Tinysauruses
- Oz: The Complete Fourth Season
- The Village
- Without a Paddle

Looks like it's the region3 version for me then.... although i wouldn't be surprised if cdwow moved the date around a little.

Well we have several threads but all about the intentions of the new R rated cut. Well it doesn't seem like it will happen like most of Anderson's films that were to have a "much better cut" to come out soon *cough*Resident Evil*cough*Event Horizon*cough*
Any who we have final specs for the release including cover art. All form DVDAnswers.com (http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?r=0&s=1&c=5129&n=1&burl=)
Love the Alien cover but no word yet if they will offer both covers to choose from for both WS and P&S versions.

Well apparently it comes out here in January (Region 1), but I don't think I'll buy it. I will probably rent it, along with "The Village". "AvP" had Lance Henriksen in it, so I gotta' at least give it a shot. I'm a fan of the Predator, but I've never really gotten into the Alien movies. I think Voltron could kick both their asses.

I found a site that is promoting the DVD release. I was hoping that they would have some info on a director's cut, but no mention so far. The site is going to be giving away copies of the DVD. It's one of those bring your friends to the site deals, with links to an area for pre-ordering the DVD and other merchandise. It's free though, and there is supposed to be other news sent out. Check it out if interested.

Jewel case comes in a smooth cardboard outer sleeve. Both contain the same artwork...... the white cinema poster with Alien in top left and Pred in bottom right.
Disc 1 is silver with a slightly embossed facehugger on the front. Disc 2 is the same except that its a flying facehugger thats been shot as there's blood everywhere. Both discs have Alien VS Predator in whithe lettering on the top.
In disc menu's are utter pants ( only had disc 2 on so far).... obviously couldn't be bothered with razzing them up a bit. No easter eggs found as yet.
All in all 4/5. I love the film and was well pleased with £11.99 inc. delivery from cdwow.co.uk, but they peeps should have jazzed them menu's up.
Apologies for the crap pics...... used me old phone.
