New Post Record?

Well, I think we may have set a new post record, with around 90 posts on 08-06-2001. I think the old record was 89, and I actually counted the posts by hand, so I probably messed up, but either way, it's right around the record. This was aided by Zeph's return partially. :) Just thought you guys would like to know.

Well, I'm virtually sure that today, August 27th, we've gotten something like 115 posts -- which is probably a record, although it may not be. Either way, there's about an hour and a half to go in the day anyway. Today has been a good day. :D

Yeah, I'm almost positive. Like 120+ posts...my counting can't be THAT far off. There have been other active days that I haven't counted, though, so this may or may not be a record. It's the highest number I've ever bothered to count through, though.

I don't believe that VB can't count daily posts itself. Even EZBoard can do that! ;)

I noticed on SitePoint, and I was wondering if you will be able to do that on here, that it says when there is a record number of users online. Although there isn't many members on here at one time, I think it would be something interesting. You know from the world of useless information. :)

Nope...the next level is at 1,000. I think I'm going to re-configure the user titles to compensate for the site's recent growth soon, though.

Nobody has reached the 1,000 post title yet (since only two people have over 1,000 posts and neither are just regular members).

I wonder who will get there first (granted, I'm currently third, but my posts per day is far lower than some close behind me in the post count).

Well, MoFo had 167 posts today. That's almost definitely a record. It was kind of a bummer in some ways, though: 69 of those posts were in the Intermission forum...compared to only 68 in General Movie Discussion! I was afraid that would happen. :) Anyway, that's a new record...and even if you shaved off some of the more useless Intermission posts, it still would have been a huge day.

I'll make the record to 200 today...:)...not really, MY computer here at work isn't working so I'm on one of the student computers, which sucks, but hey, better than no network at all. :)

Well, MoFo has broken it's own records again. Today was, in, I think, in almost every way, the best ever. The General forum 98 posts (more than twice of any other), and the site on the whole had 191 posts for the day (9-10-2001). Cool, huh? :) That's easily a record...I haven't been keeping track (formally) of things, but I'm virtually positive that 191 is at least 20 more than whatever the old mark truly was.

Pageviews were at their second highest ever (I think), at around 3,100 for the day...trailing the highest by maybe 100 or so. The site finished with roughly 520-530 UNIQUE hits (meaning different people/computers, basically)...around 100-120 higher than the old record, which was set on the 6th, just 4 days ago.

Keep in mind that some of this is a bit inaccurate...my counting could be a bit off, and I haven't been formally tracking this stuff...but seeing as how the site has been getting larger over time, a new record over the past month is likely a new record overall, as well.

Whoa, cool. The old record was like 190, and the site, I believe, averaged over 200 posts a day over the last week (roughly). Pretty cool stuff. Of course, 86 of those posts each day concerned PLite's underwear, or obsession with immoral/bizarre political leaders thoughout history. :D
