Add me as a friend if you wish folks. If your name is different than on MoFo, let me know it's MoFo related, as I only meet people I already know. :)

Snagging? I'll take mine to go and make sure that there are napkins in the bag for my greasy bucket!
You make this sound so simple. Remember those days when things used to be simple? Is anyone going to take my evil hand and walk me through this?
It's OK!

Hmmm, I would if I could. I copied a custom profile script from the site Createblog.com, then i figured out what some of the commands meant by tinkering around with them and reading some help posts on that same site. I figured out the color coded and then started changing little bits of the code to see what would happen. It was scary at first, but now, it's...still scary.
I also heard of a myspace editor called Thomas's Myspace Editor. Check that out, maybe.

Don't make her wear the dominant soft rubber boxing gloves on this, daddio!
HaHa,
Okay seriously, I was working on one, but things are getting in the way of my online time.. My Mother just had bypass surgery and my brother (who just got out of jail) decided to take advantage of this and go see her the night before her operation. After she feel asleep he decided to help himself to her cell phone, checks, credit cards, and the keys to her van which he stole. He also broke into my house 4 times over the last few days taking many things that I have worked hard for. He was finally caught yesterday, but we probably will not get our stuff back. I am going to contact our insurance company to see what they say about covering the items. The worst thing about all of it is that my brother is pretty much lost to me. I do not think I can ever forgive him for this. My Mother is doing okay though, but she is still far from her old self. I was gonna post all this in a new thread but since the opportunity presented itself there it is: my reason for no link. Oh and I aint 'fraid of no rubber boxing gloves, but those latex ones give me the shivers.

Shaaa-heeezh! Hang in there, man. My mom had bypass surgery and was wiped out for a few months, but since then, she's been like someone 20 years younger. I hope your mom has a similar recovery. Being physically active makes all the difference in the world. Sucks about your brother. I know how that is, too. *hugs*

Actually now that it is all over all I feel is sad for him. He will be in for a long time this go around. When he is not on drugs he is the nicest person in the world. The anger is still there and my kids are really feeling betrayed because they were close to him. I so wanted to catch him breaking in the house and I stayed up many nights hoping to get him. He always managed to foil my efforts though. I think back and now I am glad I did not catch him, it would have been very ugly and I would probably regret my actions. The things he took from us although expensive can be replaced. I just want to move on now and try to get some of my things back. As far as my brother goes I still love him, but I hate him too. He needs to be in prison, as sad as that sounds, because rehab never worked for him I guess. I am sure it hurts my mother even more than me because it is her son. Oh well live and learn I guess.

myspace is horrificly scary and while at the same time addictive. Kind of like Big Love, watching a train wreck happen, and being unable to change the channel while all the while there's this little voice in the back of your head screaming Turn it OFF! TURN IT OFF!
Seriously.
I happened across my brother's myspace page, and I am now scarred for life. :(

Why are you scared lol? But yes, myspace is pretty addicting. I check it everyday, like 50 times. And when I miss a day (which is rare) I feel lost....how pathetic! At least I'm not the only one who feels like this. Just about everyone I know who has a myspace account knows what I'm talking about. Why is it that myspace is so fricken addictive? Now that's scary!

:D Let's just say there are things about yourself that you dont lightly share with your ...erm...sibling. :nope: Humorous thing happened - my older sister (scary web lurker that she is - knows everyone's business! ) responded to a blog comment he put up, and with lightning speed he separately emailed her back warning her that his future blogs would be far too torrid for her sainted eyes! :rotfl:
Frankly, regardless of how scarred for life I am over myspace - I am very much relishing in the effect it has on other people. Mind you - my little sister was up until 2am yesterday morning reliving college linking through the myspace pages of her former classmates.
Scary!
The woman was like a zombie, emitting occasional incredulous outbursts (OMG, I KNEW they were gay! * Oh wow, they got married! * Geez, this guy is still crying for help! * etc. ad nauseum)
*rubs hands together with a delighted grin*
THESE same internet snobs who took great pleasure in razzing me for even contemplating posting on random forums (So mack, what did your "internet" friends say?), are complete myspace junkies, and I, for one, am taking great pleasure in it! :D
For some odd reason, though, I just cant get with myspace - it is way too personal and reveals way too much about a persons personal life. *shudders* Scary.

myspace is horrificly scary and while at the same time addictive. Kind of like Big Love, watching a train wreck happen, and being unable to change the channel while all the while there's this little voice in the back of your head screaming Turn it OFF! TURN IT OFF!
Seriously.
I happened across my brother's myspace page, and I am now scarred for life. :(
hee! Yeah, there are a lot of people who seem to use it to get a closer look at their own sexuality... or celebritize it, which is horrifying. :p And whore-ifying. :indifferent:
I've found it a good way to keep in touch with good friends, though. And to meet a couple of new thinking people. :)

I heard the word from word of mouth that it was because he didn't come to the table of space with any cake.

There's always a good explanation. "No cake" was worthy of much worse than banning.

You're not the only one. I'm not on anything. Knowing me, I'd get too sucked into it all and MySpace would become one more thing to procrastinate with. :modest:
By the way...whats the difference between MySpace and Xanga?
By the way...whats the difference between MySpace and Xanga?
I haven't used Xanga much, but I think it's more journal-oriented than MySpace, which is really just a beefed-up Friendster. MySpace is also insanely popular at the moment, so I suppose there's a better chance that so-and-so is on there than there would be with Xanga.

I have a myspace and I use it often. The link is in my profile, but I will put it here as well.
http://www.myspace.com/anonymouslyknown
I started one when I was in Florida to keep up with lifelong friends in CT. I use it sometimes, mostly to keep track of impending social events, births, and stuff.
I find it sometimes funny and very disturbing what people will post to the world. I have always lived my life in a semi-private way, only hinting about my personal beliefs and interpersonal relationships. Where I am willing to openly discuss some things in a public forum, others are meant for one-on-one discussion with someone I trust.
I haven't done much in the way of "looking" around myspace but some of the things I have heard remind me of early LiveJournal. Yes there is the voyeuristic aspect of viewing the seedier side of peoples psyche but now it seems like people are just trying to outdo each other on the "shock-o-meter." I'm pretty darn Liberal and have acceptance in my head and my heart for everyone regardless of how F'd up the world sees them, but I cant get over the blatant display some people put on seemingly to get attention.
Not that I don't understand it, sometimes it just seems a bit too much.
I do think there is a certain aspect of "There but by the grace of God go I." Most of us have the potential on some level of being deviant little sex monkeys, I just don't wanna know about it till I know you better ;)

I started using myspace when I got tired of Xanga, I used it mostly for blogging but then I added my friends and I now use it as a place to keep in touch with people I don't see often. I don't do the whole "friend whoring" thing, I've seen some people with thousands of friends and I'm not into it. I only add people I actually want to talk too.

I really do believe that most people use it exactly that way. The exceptions, unfortunately, have become the rule as far as the media and conventional wisdom are concerned.

In Australia we have a radio show called "The Benchwarmers" who are a duo of talented and funny guys who have recently created a myspace page. They are trying to get more "Friends" than another page Quizmania (a late night poor excuse for a tv show). So please go to www.myspace.com/antandbecks and add them as a Friend and then after adding them post the comment "Da Naisy Sent Me", Im going to monitor how many people I get to add. Please post this on every forum, every bulletin, every blog you can find! if you dont fairy's will break your legs and curse you with bad luck or whatever it is they say on spam to get you to do it. Im hoping to get a mention on national radio if all goes well. So c'mon do it for me! and do it for your (well ok my) country! They wont spam you and after a few weeks you can delete them, im just trying to win me radio prizes....*sniff* I love the smell of spam in the mornings

I deleted mine about two weeks ago. Too much drama. Too much obsessive checking up on people. And too many messages from crazy and very trashy girls.
And too many messages from crazy and very trashy girls.
 I'm guessing they're not friends of yours then. I sometimes get adds from half naked girls (that's what you mean yeah?) but I know they just want to spam my page with their adverts and while sometimes I get fooled thinking I might know them. You can usually tell by the way they look at the camera. All my friends look cheery in their photos whereas these girls look......yeah trashy :)
I prefer Facebook. It's less messy and it's better for catching up with people you knew in the past.

Judging from the general users on there, I may as well, a bunch of foul-mouthed, air-headed teenagers and smart-asses. I swear, Myspace has the largest concentration of ***holes.

I had my page on private for a while and that seemed to help keep some of the less desirable ones away... you can also set it so no one under 18 can even contact you...

This site is the most civil I've been on! The chat rooms are a waste on Myspace, just a bunch of tweens who all gossip, instead of discussing anything close to the topic.
