I was wondering how many of you have seen this movie by Takeshi Kitano?

This is my favourite movie and was wondering how many people liked it.

Holy crap, you've seen this movie, TOO! It was probably one of the cheesiest movies I've seen. Here's the plot, well actually, you've seen it time and time before in every other gangster/mafia film. Yeah sure, it's got the twist, it's asian so they cut off their own fingers and stab themselves in the stomach to show how "tough" they are (I'd consider it a cruel trick played on the dumb, it would go like this - Hey "smart" guy, show us how tough you are by stabbing yourself in the stomach. Okay, says "smart" guy. Then everyone laughs. Cruel trick finished.). Anyways, some of the shots in the movie were just pointless. There's the shot of the guy (director, editor, actor, writer) walking down the street. How long was that shot? I don't know, I took my dog for a walk, went to the bathroom, and came back to catch the end of it. Not to mention the pacing, which I think was screwed due to the shots. (I'll give Asian films this though; They don't rely on dialogue as much as American films, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the film. My opinion is never biased though, cause I am right, all the time.) Another thing that made this film suck was the location changes. Hey mister roboto', they're called ESTABLISHING shots. You should get to know them. They'll let your audience know where the film's taking place. With all that aside, it had bad dialogue - generic, easy way out, obvious, etc.
