I've decided to use this thread for all my poems. Enjoy people, and please comment.

Here's the first one:

The World Away
(Dedicated to life)

Standing above the tiny palm tree in the bushes, I hear the water
I want to greet the Rush of the ocean
The water takes me in
Take me away, take me away
On crisp air, my sail floats
An Island I see, in the distance
Voices of reason beckon to me
I come close
But my sight fails me
I reach out to touch the air around me
Only then do I realize that I am now in the shade of my palm tree

Thank you, anyone care to guess at what I was trying to convey (I'd like to know if my point is getting across)

My guess: it's all a dream or out-of-body experience you're having while asleep on the beach. Nice job, by the way.

I like the visualization. And the wording is good.

Thats most of it, but I was trying to convey how NOT living in the moment (or living in the present) can sometimes cause you to miss things. In the poem the narrator misses the growth of his palm tree. make sense? :D

I like that as a message. Good choice.
You could perhaps make that message clearer (sorry, I only give honest opinions), but as is, it makes sense. :)

Outraged that simple mortals would dare trespass on their stranglehold on the simple pleasure of shade that the trees supply? No that can't be it.

My slice of advice...

Never stop writin'

ok, new poem. This one is a lover poem so it might sound sappy to anyone who isn't in love.

A Wise Man
(To the one whom I love)

A heart set aflutter,
in an endless breeze.
Every breath makes life
pass by with joyous ease.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

Undaunted is my love for you,
unchallenged is my loyalty.
Know that through this bliss,
I would never let go of Royalty.

I love you every moment in frozen time,
even on the starry night.
When I wish Princess was there,
to make the sky bright.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

Eternal happiness you brought me,
and happiness I shall return.
For no one is as worthy as a Princess,
or so my senses of love with her, shall learn.

With dazzling elegance you speak to me,
and gracefully do you accept our chance.
I am spellbinded by you,
and gladly forever in a trance.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

Waiting for you hurts,
for with every moment my heart burns.
Your sumptuous warm lips I want to kiss,
And for your soft embrace, my body yearns.

Like raindrops on roses,
the thought of you brings gladness.
But where raindrops eventually dry out,
My love for you boasts in persistence.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

Like an angel traveling through soft clouds,
I see you in my dreams.
A holy figure of immense beauty,
And my soul, in its entirety, gleams.

On wings of love,
We will float together.
But I shall hold you tight,
And you shall feel light as a feather.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

My lips will greet the swell of your lips,
remedying a long suppressed ache.
igniting unquenchable flames burning within,
My fire will never stop or shake.

The wait has become horrifying,
Being away from you magnifies my desire,
I feel your aura around me,
Only shall I rest, when you are here forever.

Or so a Wise Man in a Disguise of Armor once Told me.

I sit back and think,
Who is the Wise Man in a disguise of armor?
But the answer is clear as crystal peaks,
The wise man is me, wearing a guise no longer.

Or so a Wise Boy in Love once expressed to me in the most sincerest form.
