Well now it seems ive been a working man over this summer, earning my keep, running the rat race etc etc, i have finally learned of the wonderful thing that is known as Pay Day. A glorious day when all your hard work is manifested in the form of money, green, bucks, DOSH!
So, ive put a lot of money aside for my holiday to the states, but ive left that little bit extra in my bank to do some serious shopping. I want a new outfit for the states, some funky gear to help me fit in. So the first place i decided to look was renowned fashion outfitters www.internationalmale.com.

Heres some of my favourite ensembles -

A nice breezy, casual but fun look with the Swashbuckler Shirt.

Its their favourite look apprantly, plus its made of soft cotton poplin!

Next, for a dressy evening down at the local Dennys, maybe this Bellinis Ensemble would be a good choice.

Next, time for a casual beach look. I could wear my Gauze Caftan paired with a comfy pair of Gladiator Sandals.

And theres me thinking Gauze was only useful for bandaging deep flesh wounds!!

These would like great with socks. And obviously the caftan could only be worn with no underwear.

And finally, for those really special occasions, i would have to say the Versailles Waistcoat would be the best choice.

As the online catologue states, its definatly an outfit that is "A special occasion piece that will have all eyes on you." Perhaps this could be matched with the swashbuckler shirt? Plus its made from natural fibres with a "Viscose/poly; rayon lining." to stop irritation

Now i have all my outfits, its time to accessorize!
Any of these handy accessory's would go down a treat -

The Crochet Skull Cap. Soft and breezy with a snug fit.

Any of these Rossetti Godfather Hat's would go great with my bellini suit. I prefer to call them "pimp daddy" hats myself.

And finally, team those hats with these Firenze Stone Rings and im in fashion city!

So, what do you guys think? Will these new styles help me fit in? If not can you reccomend anything else?

I hope you can help!!

Sweetpea...It's been awhile since I was last down in Florida.....but I think it safe to say that instead of fitting in you'd be sticking out like a sore thumb with those outfits. The first pirate shirt is kinda fun...but...well...I'd put my money on buying clothes you'll also be able to wear once your back home. I'm really interested and not making fun...but are these the type of outfits that are considered 'in' where you are?

As far as casual clothes, here's a couple of sites you might be interested in...

By the way blibby...where are you planning on going in the states? I was just assuming it was Florida again.

Ok...Who are some of out snazzier dressers here that can help our blibby out?

 And I'm sure he makes a might fine pirate. ;)

I wasn't sure if he was being serious and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Actually one of those outfits reminds me of what Chairman Kaga wears on The Iron Chef.

Unfortunatly they are not considered in over here in the UK. At most fancy dress birthday parties they would be considred a great buy, but for a trip to the supermarket? The sad truth is i would most likely be beaten within an inch of my pirate-esq, crocheted-skull-cap-wearing life. ;)
By the way blibby...where are you planning on going in the states? I was just assuming it was Florida again. You assumed correct Anny my dear! Im so excited! Am gonna be in the pirate shirt wearing state of Florida for 3 weeks in september! I came across international male whilst i was at work and noticed that it was an american magazine. Have you ever ever seen anyone dress in any of these clothes? I sure havnt, and i was kind of preplexed to understand who buys this stuff. Unfortunatly, i wont be purchasing any of the above items..... :(

Although, i am digging this Gatwick 100% Leather Shirt! Imagine the sweat patches.....:yup:

Well its now 5 days till i embark on my adventure and i cant wait. After much debating and sadness, ive decided to drop the swashbuckling, gay, pimp, pirate image and just go for some good old fashioned funkyness. International Male will always be in my heart though, and i shall turn to their fashion advice when i feel the need to put a little Jazz in my wardrobe.

However, I found this shop over in florida a year or so ago and i absoloulty love the clothes. its so cool! www.urbanoutfitters.com

Im so excited! Its also the first time im going to celebrate my birthday away from home which will be a bit weird...
