Here are mine ( or at least what I can think of) :

Quantum Leap
Sliders
Nowhere Man
The Lone Gunmen
Freakylinks
Batman :The Animated Series
Alf

I loved Sliders, but they ruined it after a while. They killed off all the best characters.

Shows I wish weren't cancelled:
Upright Citizens Brigade
Strangers With Candy
The Critic
The Tick
Working
and the number one show I love watching, Unhappily Ever After. Gah that was a great show. If fox didn't play it at 1 in the morning, I'd go crazy!!

nice thread

I second The Critic and The Tick -- though the latter is coming back as a live-action series to combat Surivor for Fox...not sure when, but fairly soon. Apparently the 3 pilot episodes are hilarious.

FreakyLinks was weird. Didn't find myself getting to into it...the episode about "Virginia" was kind of dumb...so I'm not sure about that. I agree with Peter about Sliders...that show was AWESOME at first, and seemed to have a lot of long-term potential, but they needed to keep 2-3 of the 4 main characters alive, or at least along for the ride somehow. I forget which ones left and all that, but it became confusing after awhile.

Even though I know the most realistic thing to have them do would be hopping around and picking up/dropping off people, it still got tiresome after awhile. Anyone know what happened in the last episode?

Oh, forgot Millenium.

Yea, I've seen the first pilot episode for the Tick, and I didn't like it the first time, but the second time I loved it. Now I watch it over and over. It's a good adaptation of a cartoon, that was adapted off of a comic book.

What?!?! You've seen it? WHERE?!? I MISSED IT?!?!?!

OG-

I saw a thing in EW saying that the Tick has been moved from Fox to WB. BTW, when did they air the pilot!?!?!?

Anyone remember the Muppet Show??? I loved that!
They shouldn't of killed off Transformers, the original show anyways.
Kids in the Hall was a great show
I can't think of any others..

Quantam Leap was an awesome show...I love catching Chain Reactions of it on Sci-Fi.

Kids in the Hall I believe is on Comedy Central

Ugh...Kids in the Hall is weird. One sketch out of 10 is really funny, and the other 9 are anoying.

Its in syndication. There hasn't been an episode made in a long time.

I forgot Seinfeld!!! That has to be one of the best shows made. Sure, the finale sucked, but i liked the rest of the shows!!!

OG-

Seinfeld wasn't cancelled, he just didn't want to make any more episodes.

As for the Tick, it hasn't been aired yet. I downloaded the first episode.

I think you misunderstood me. I know it aires on Comedy Central, I just wish they would make a new episode of it.

South Park rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spudracer
07-31-01, 09:44 AM
Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, but south park was good when it first came out, now since the movie's out, and everything else, it's like they just tryin to find ways to keep people wanting more. I liked the first season, after that, it just got stupid.

yeah, kids in the hall was beyond strange, but it was still funny. i miss that show. and mystery science theater 3000!! that show was beyond funny. and the critic. i don't watch any scifi shows on tv, so i can't really relate to a lot of the previous posts...

is anyone else sick of the on-again off-again thing they're doing with Family Guy on FOX? that show is too damn funny to mess around with like that.

BrodieMan

don't even joke about them taking away the simpsons and south park. those shows are the best sitcoms on right now.

That's fox for ya...they already plan on moving the tick and it's not even out yet. One reason is probably cause they need more time for their when cars go bad 7 crap shows.

BrodieMan
07-31-01, 02:57 PM
too bad. family guy is one of the best shows on. is anyone else a fan? i was bummed when the cancelled it the first time. and now it's back... temporarily, or something.... does anyone know if it's back for the long haul?

OG-
07-31-01, 04:56 PM
I'm a family guy fan. Love that show. Glad they brought it back, but they'll probably take it off again later! Bastards!!

Thought of another show they should put back on, The Norm Show. I loved that show.

BrodieMan
07-31-01, 11:11 PM
yeah, what's up with that? that was pretty good. that was one of those shows though that was only sort of funny but you watched it cause you thought it was gonna be as funny as the star is. you know what i mean - it starred a guy who's stand up is freakin hilarious but when you watch the sitcom it's only decent. *cough*kingofqueens*cough*

American Gothic with Gary Cole as Sheriff Buck and Lucas Black as Caleb. This is that TV show that had Gary Cole whistling the Andy Griffith Show themesong in the pilot--but he's nothing like Andy Griffith's sheriff. Eerie show and fantastic characters that populated the "quiet" town of Trinity. 1st Rate.

I'm a huge fan of The Family Guy. I like to download the episodes. One of the best animated shows on TV.

I wish they hadn't canceled Now & Again. I loved that show. Very well written and well acted. It ended far too soon.

What?! Where?! How?!

Yikes, all these shows cancelled...Millenium?! I thought they were still making that!!

As for the Simpsons, didn't Matt Groening say that he wanted to focus more on Futurama (which is a damn good show if I do say so myself :)), so they will be stopping the Simpsons this (or next) year??

OG-

Welcome back Zeph!

I just read an interview with Groening where he gave no indication that they were even thinking of quitting The Simpsons. And they did go to great lengths to sign the voice talent to longer-term contracts (a clue that they have no current plans to end the series).

Heck, as bad a time slot as Futurama has, who knows how long it will last. FOX isn't even planning on running the season premiere until December.

OG-
08-06-01, 11:17 PM
Futurama is one of the best shows on tv.

So is Malcolm in the Middle

I love Futurama, but I worry that FOX doesn't like it as much as I do.

OG-
08-06-01, 11:43 PM
Yea I thought the same thing so I started downloading episodes just in case I go into withdrawl. So I have 30 something episodes on my computer.

OG-
08-16-01, 04:19 PM
I'm not sure if it was officaly cancelled, but I don't see it on anymore. Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Space Ghost is THE most original show ever made. Can anyone think of a more original show? Futurama, maybe. Every episode of Space Ghost is hilarious. Every celebrity that goes on it earns respect in my book. I miss that show soo much!!!

OG-
08-20-01, 09:33 PM
We'll I'm very, very, very happy today because I found out Space Ghost Coast to Coast will have all new episodes starting Sept 2 on the Cartoon Network. Same goes for the Brak Show!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D

Yoda
08-20-01, 09:45 PM
That's funny crap. I love Brak's song about the Bologna Sandwhich. I haven't seen his show, but It's hard to imagine him outside of that show. Oh, and by the way, Cake's cover of "I Will Survive" sucks... a lot.

Zephyrus
08-20-01, 10:33 PM
What, are they thinking of cancelling Fururama?!?! I love that show!

BTW, I thought that was the reason why Matt Groening decided to stop producing the Simpsons - so that he could concentrate on Futurama...

ryanpaige
08-20-01, 10:51 PM
They aren't thinking of cancelling Futurama as far as I know. It's just that FOX has given it such a crummy timeslot that you have to wonder why. And they aren't even going to play the season premiere until December this year.

well fox must like it more than the tv companys in Norway coz they only give it a 11:30pm slot.
