I'd get it too, no matter what the price. That show is so funny. I can't wait till it's out on DVD!

There isn't an official release date yet for "Seinfeld". They were announced as a project back in December of 2003.
Right away there was a snag, as castmembers Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Michael Richards told the producers they would not be participating in any interview segments or recording any audio commentary tracks for the DVDs. Their reasoning was financial: unlike co-creators and executive producers Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, they stand to gain exactly zero dollars from what is sure to be historic sales of the series on DVD. Basically, if their participation was wanted for the discs, somebody would have to offer them substantial payment.
It was eventually handled months later, and though details were not released, apparently all four cast members are now participating in special features for the DVDs.
I don't believe there is a firm target date yet (at least, not one they've announced) for the first seasons to debut on DVD. I'm sure everybody involved would like to have them ready by the end of the year, for the Holidays to boost sales. But I also don't think they're going to rush just to get 'em out there - they'll make a ton of dough no matter when they hit the shelves.
So yes, "Seinfeld" is coming, but nobody knows exactly when. Quite possibly November/December 2004 (apparently Jerry said this on a "Tonight Show" appearance in May). But definitely not next week anyway, that's for damn sure.

thanks G. Those 'free gift' ideas are pretty stupid. So are the DVD covers. I dont really mind though, the show is all i care about.
