This might not work or might have been done before so this could make me look like an idiot. But i'm going to do it anyway.
I'm stealing this way of voting from Empire Magazine. This thread will determine The 50 Greatest Movies of All Time According to the members of MovieForums.com.
Here's what you do...
Vote by listing your top 10 movies of all time. Your number 1 choice will get 10 points and your number 10 choice will get 1 point. Like so...
1. Your 1st choice (10 points)
2. Your 2nd choice (9 points)
3. Your 3rd choice (8 points)
4. Your 4th choice (7 points)
5. Your 5th choice (6 points)
6. Your 6th choice (5 points)
7. Your 7th choice (4 points)
8. Your 8th choice (3 points)
9. Your 9th choice (2 points)
10. Your 10th choice (1 point)
When enough votes have been casted I will add up the points and list...

Ok.. heres my list
1. The Usual Suspects

4. Boondock Saints
5. Resivior Dogs
6. Star Wars Series
7. Frailty
8. LOTR Series
9. South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut
10. PI
*Note* i decided rather to list out the movies in a series i liked just to put them there as a whole. Which is why star wars is lower than it would have been if 1 and 2 never came out >.< Also i noticed the absence of comidies which is my reasoning for the inclusion of South Park

I've added up the scores and calculated a top fifty of the votes so far. I'm going to wait and see if this bump can generate some more votes.
If anyone wants to change their top 10 before I add up the final score, then feel free to do so. But please make sure you make it clear to me that you've edited your post. :)

I dunno, just do it in the order I wrote 'em, I don't care. Actually I don't think this is ever going to be tallied up at this point anyway. This is an old thread.
Edit: On Second thought, There has been a bit of action in this thread lately and Sinny seems to be trying to get it going again, and my list was problematic and I didn't like it I deleted it. Problem solved.
Top 10 of all time? Naming that list is harder than it sounds. So instead of really thinking about it, I'll just name 10 off the top of my head:
1. Dr. Strangelove
2. Breaking Away
3. Raging Bull
4. On the Waterfront
5. Sideways
6. 2001
7. The Graduate
8. Manchurian Candidate
9. Vertigo
10. Goodfellas
How much longer before we see the list?

Yup.
So where's the list? I think we have enough to determine a top 50 list.

So far this is just another "top ten" thread.
1. Lawrence of Arabia
2. Woman in the Dunes
3. Limbo
4. My Dinner With Andre
5. Duck Soup
6. Akira
7. Singin' in the Rain
8. Rashomon
9. Vengeance is Mine
10. Seventh Seal
I narrowed it down to about 25 candidates, and aftter the first five this was more or less a random selection from that list.

So where's the list? I think we have enough to determine a top 50 list. We've had enough for a top 50 list for a long time now. I just wanted as many votes as possible.
I'll start adding up the scores. It'll take me a while.
