Being my 20's now, I was thinking back to my teenage years and remembering all my favorite things about the 1990's. Here's what I came up with;

1) Mark Wahlberg before he graced us with his big screen presence. Doesn't anyone miss Marky Mark, he was so cute then!

2) Slouch socks. I had like umpteen pairs of them.

3) This kinda goes with number 2, tights, because you had to have a good pair of tights to wear with your slouch socks.

4) Labyrinth. It was my favorite movie. And I thought David Bowie was sooo hot. lol.

5) Degrassi High, if you are not from Canada you may not know this show, but it rocked.

6) The Quebec Seperation debate, it was nice to have a bit of controversy within our nation.

7) Adidas, you know the ones with the white and green stripes that eveyone wore. I can't remember what they were called.

8) Team jackets. I wouldn't go anywhere without my Habs jacket.

9)Flared jeans. Finally I could wear pants that didn't make me look like my mother.

10) And yes of course... Cords, coloured cords. Remember slipping in a snowbank and leaving a pink trail!

Those are some of my most cherished 90's memories, what were yours?

I'm feeling reeeeally old. I remember flared jeans/pants back in the '70's.

I saw a pic of my mom in a pair of bell bottoms she had painted flowers all over... I was going to "swipe" it but she hid it somewhere... :p :D

 Awww....I'll bet she looked very cute in them. :)

I remember I had a pair of lime green bell bottoms.
The only big flowers I had were on a mini-dress.

Back to the '90's....
Some of it was a big blur...I had my kids in '92 and '94, both on a full moon and on December 10th. Mommyhood, wifely stuff and working zapped most of my memories outside my bubble. But...I do still have a few slouch socks from then. :p

Thank god someone else does. :) I remember low-rise bell-bottoms, the first time around. Unfortunately, I was waist-height for that craze. gah!!

Also, I still think David Bowie is hot.

Pinnacle of the 90s probably = wearing my hypercolor shirt listening to Ice Ice Baby which inevitably led into the wearing of my No Fear T-shirt listening to Green Day which inevitably led into the wearing of my No Fear Sucks T-shirt while listening to Rancid.

Now thats classy!

The 90's to me mean Chicago Bulls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Nike Shoes.
