Hello everyone,
Is there any way that I can get my DVDplayer (software) skip certain positions in a movie for playing it back for my children? Is there any program that is designed to play DVD's with censoring features?
Thanx >

Check Wal-mart's website… I seem to remember something about a device being placed on the market this month that will filter out violence/sex/language on DVD’s …. I think it is rather expensive in the long run though because you have to buy a monthly subscription to keep it updated… In my opinion, for what it’s worth, movies carry a rating for a reason and I feel like if a child is not old enough to watch certain movies... then they should just not be allowed to at all... I have no idea how old you kids are… but I know when I was younger, if my parents had placed a filter on the DVD, it would have only stirred my curiosity even more… and eventually, I would have found a way around it and watched whatever it was they didn’t want me to see…

I'd have to say if my parents blocked something on a DVD, I'd find out what it is eventually. My parents were, and still are, very, very lenity on what I watched. Although, I usually got a speech about how it wasn't real and stuff after the movie. Take for instance, when Hannibal came out I was 11 and I wanted to see it in theatres so my parents thought it over and in the end I went to go see it with my dad.

I remember hearing about a guy from Utah who came up with some kinda player but he was having a hard time getting past legislation that was trying to ban it. I heard he wasn't stopped yet and the player should be out soon. Like anytime!
They should make censor dvd for children. My PS2 had a code thingy you have to type in the password to watch movies just to making sure minor kids dont watch anything bad like porn or rated r movies. But i set the password myself :) . Anyways my dad use to watch the movie i wanted to watch and see if its ok for me to watch some movies he said no but im 15 now and i rent any movie or buy anymovie now a days and in best buy they sell any kind of movies to kids. One Time i saw like a 11 year old buying Jason vs. Freddy. And suncoast sells porn to my friend. But at GameStop and you want to buy a movie like Underworld(I wanted to Buy) i needed my legal guardian =/ it was a pain to bring my mom down there just to purchase a dvd that wasnt even that bad =/. Anyways back to the question i saw a censor dvd at wal-mart too a bit expensive. Maybe they have it at costco.
P.S. some movies should'nt be show to kids my little bro saw the ring and he gets alot of nightmares =/
