Hello guys n' gals, i wish to document my long term foray into the golden age of radio, all i could wish for in this department can be found easily online, i prefer YouTube, but sometimes the sound quality is better elsewhere. I'm playing most of these for dad, who's increasingly offended by today's sinful mode of entertainment, so that's part of the reason why i'm doing this, but more than that is for me the supreme delight of zooming back a few decades no later than the 50's. The ads in these rickety old programs are so good too.
My goal that i came up with first was the magical number of 5,000 for this year, beginning late February, if i do that, i'd have to average a little over 16 ep's a day. But there's other things i want to listen to, traditional audiobooks as we know them today will be covered in my Book Buffet thread, OTR deserves it's own thread, and only one other is here on MoFo-Land. There should be a revival of interest in these precious relics of bygone days.
May my efforts result in others deciding for themselves, that yes this is a good thing to spend time with, when "reality" is too much, when you need to go back in time when things were simpler, and to see the origins of things that have become a part of pop culture.

3 -- Dangerously Yours -- The Highwayman, hilarious romantic stuff from mid 40s
4 -- The Adventures of Frank Race -- The Adventure Of The Hackensack Victory -- if you like the old film noirs, you'll like this!!
5 -- Father Knows Best - Safety Campaign -- light stuff
6 -- Fibber McGee & Molly 1939 - Mouse in the House -- we have mice in our house, so this should be a treat!! -- was that WC Fields in this??
7 -- X Minus One - No Contact (#1) --- what's needed after some comedy? You need sci-fi! "I'll be in my office counting vitamin pills if you need me"
8 -- Dragnet - Production 4 aka Homicide aka Quick Trigger Gun Men
9 -- The Roy Rogers Show -- Getaway --- brought back memories for dad
10 --Hopalong Cassidy -- Forecast
11 -- Abbott & Costello -- November 19, 1942, with guest Merle Oberon with Who's On First -- track 1 from 100 Great Radio Shows, cool song around the 15m mark ... Merle Oberon 😍
