I'm a big fan of Keke Palmer and SZA, so I knew this was one for me. The story is reminiscent of many 90's buddy movies, and I will say I enjoyed my time very much!

Dreux and Alyssa are roommates in LA, and they're about to have the worst day. It's the day of Dreux's big interview where she'll finally have the chance to move into management (and financial security). It's also the day that their rent is due, and because of a mixup with Alyssa's no account boyfriend Keshawn, they are short $1500 and they have to get it or face eviction. They traipse all around town, facing one complication after another, until everything falls into place in a satisfying conclusion.

The movie definitely had Friday vibes but it was very fun. The story was well paced, and the characters were well fleshed out. I also loved the cameos from Katt Williams, Lil Rel, and Janelle James (Abbott Elementary). This was the first theatrical R-rated female Black comedy since Girls Trip, and while that film was a bit raunchier, this was a fun ride, and reminded me of the friendship of that film.

The movie is a tight 90 minutes, funny af, and well worth the time.

I was wondering what people thought of this movie. I was thinking of going to see it a couple of weeks ago. Even though it had good reviews, I didn't care for the trailer, so I didn't go. Maybe I will check it out this weekend. Thanks
