Yes. The Bridge is beautifully shot, well acted and intelligently written. It is an emotionally powerful and thought provoking work of art. I rated it a 9/10.

My take
.
A very good anti-war movie which illustrates the degree to which Nazism had infected German society. Nazism is pervasive throughout this movie even though you don't see one Swastika, a flag or a SS member in uniform. Just regular people and in this case high school kids ready to die and fight for an evil ideology even though they didn't seem to know exactly what they were fighing for and the futility of it in April 1945. The movie is great at pointing out how useless and flacid the adults were in this movie. The same adults who allowed Hilter to take over were complicit in the crimes to the end. The ultimate crime at the end was turning kids into monsters. This movie was one big F you to that generation of Germans. This was be played out in the 1960s when the younger generation finally realized what their parents and grandparents allowed Hitler to do and began to ask the tough questions. A very powerful anti-war movie. 8/10
