Nah, it's funny.

My wife and I play a game where we'll randomly say "okay imagine all this is actually about sex" and we see how long the dialogue "plays along." Sometimes it really, really does, for awhile. Usually we notice a few ambiguous lines in a row and then rewind and say it.

Yes it's dumb. But it brings us no end of stupid joy.

Haha. :)

In this case though, although there are a couple of lines of dialogue I missed out, I must say I have to wonder whether the script writer was having a laugh there.
I mean, the woman coming in and saying that????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not much into finding unintentionally funny stuff in serious movies.

And I don't find the preceding funny.

That being said, Mo Lei Tau comedies and Philomena Cunk are the only things that make me laugh these days, so I'm in no position to criticize anybody.

Looking at it again it does look immature and arguably in bad taste.
Perhaps was just the mood I was in.
Apologies if any offence caused to anybody which wasn't the intention.

I'm half way here. Bad word choices ... not so much funny to me as disappointing.

I'm not sure all translators are as fluent as they should be. In watching Korean movies for example there are many times time when a character says "I never want to meet you again." Perhaps the Korean work translates formally to "meet," but a fluent English speaker would translate this as "see". It happens frequently, and rarely a movie goes by where the English major in me isn't thinking something like, "no, they don't mean spoiled beans, they mean fermented."

I hope Robert runs into Police Constable Doris Thatcher.

PS: There is absolutely nothing wrong in laughing at that. Enjoy it.
