Exactly two years after Amazon MGM Studios acquired global rights to the Warhammer 40,000 game from Games Workshop for Henry Cavill to star in and executive produce a cinematic universe, there has been movement on the project. The first piece of the potential franchise, a TV series, is now officially in development at the studio.
According to sources, a mini-room was assembled to hone in on a creative direction for the Warhammer universe. Based on the material produced by the writers, a decision was made to proceed with the development of a TV series as the first project, sources said.
