Anyone know of any free DVD rippers for Windows? Looking for someone with experience with these.

Handbrake. My old Windows 10 HP had a disc drive which I frequently watched DVDs on and when I needed to save the files, Handbrake came in handy. You can change aspect ratio, quality, audio track, sub track, video track & soft/hardcode subtitles!!

Someone else recommended Handbrake to me. I'll have to look into it. I think the problem I ran into with this program was that the screen was black. It ripped only the audio.

Tried Handbrake and it doesn't work. I even downloaded the libdvdcss file, copied it to the Handbrake folder in programs and it still doesn't work. I get some error message "no valid source or titles found." I even tried Dumbofab but it only rips 3 minutes. Lastly, I tried the VLC media player and it seems to be the only one that actually does work, although the audio and video are often not in sync.

You can try HandBrake—it's a free and open-source DVD ripper for Windows. Just make sure to install libdvdcss if you're dealing with encrypted DVDs. It’s easy to use and supports many formats.
