View Full Version : Murderers Among Us (1946)
This was first of the "rubble" movies made in Germany after WW2. They were made by the East Germans/Soviets so you have to be careful of the propaganda but this is a fairly straightforward yet powerful look at the devastation both to the city and the survivors. There are a few more of these I hve to check out on kanopy.

I thought it was absolutely fantastic. I've had it on my watchlist for literally over a decade and it never seemed to be streaming or (back in the day) available in video stores.
Finally got to watch it semi-recently and it more than lived up to my expectations.

I wasn't aware that it was its own sub-category. Looking at the Wikipedia list, the only other one I've seen was Germany, Year Zero.
