Looks good! I have seen two films that Crane Wilbur directed and four other films that he wrote, but didn't direct.

This opening sequence is like a newsreel type documentary.

It's hard to keep everyone straight in this with several escapees and the way they tell the story.

I couldn't tell from the film, but I looked it up and he was recaptured. Here is a link to the real guy after being recaptured:

This was alright, but somewhat forgettable. Too much narration, didn't feel noir enough for my liking. 6/10 is my rating.

it's always better to develop the relationships between the characters esp when they are prisoners. a bit too procedural. 5.5/10

Agreed. I couldn't always keep the characters and their relationship straight.
