Fans of the actress should definitely check out this documentary I saw on HBOMAX that does a deep dive into the actress' mysterious death and her marriage to the creepy Simon Monjack, who died five months after Brittany did. The film concentrates more on what happened after her death as opposed to her too brief career. The film talks about the creepy Svengali-like hold Monjack had over the actress . The movie offers a lot of evidence pointing to a lot of different theories regarding what happened to the actress, but seemed to be afraid to come out and say a lot of it. There is a school of thought that Monjack had more to do with it than originally thought, since he apparently wanted control of Brittany's money and didn't want an autopsy performed at the time of her death. The film also features snippets of a very creepy interview Larry King did with Simon and his mother-in-law that made this reviewer squirm. After watching this, I'm beginning to think this is going to be another Marilyn Monroe story, where we will never know exactly what happened. Commentary is provided by Kathy Najimy, Amy Heckerling, Perez Hilton, and Shawn Levy among others. The movie brings up a lot of theories but doesn't commit to any of them. 3.5
