View Full Version : Why am I no longer getting mention notifications?
Check the user control panel and the edit options section to make sure everything is selected there to receive notifications. There is a box to block notifications, so make sure that it isn't checked.

It is likely a settings issue, but if not Yoda might be able to help.

Then you are good to go.

Notifications for replies only show up for quotes and @ mentions. They don't come in for replies to any thread you start otherwise, mostly because for some people that would be a very, very large number of notifications.
There's another thing called Thread Subscriptions which shows all your subscribed threads in one places (and involves email), but that's separate from the notifications system.

upon second thought i would prefer all responses to get a notification or have the option

Unfortunately that's not possible, the notifications are already done through a mod for the forum software and we've already had to modify it heavily to get it to this point.
Even if it was an option, that would be a pretty crazy number, it would surprise me if anybody turned it on and left it on after the deluge. But it's a moot point anyway.
Closest option is to use the email notifications for threads.

If needing to get a notification every time someone posts in a thread you make or replies to another is that important to you, you have to go into your user cp, go to options and then turn the default subscription thread mode to "instant email notification".
how do i do that?
There's a checkbox on the Post Reply page, as well as a subscription option under "Tools" on the top right of every thread on desktop.
There are related options in your User CP, as well. There's a few too many options to enumerate, actually, but look around a little and it'll become obvious.
