My experience with rafting was that the guide made all the difference. If they have you in the right position, it’s not bad.

When you come to a section with a throng of “onlookers” and the guide puts you in sideways…👀

It's a good time. May not be your all-the-time hobby, but I'd recommend doing it a few times over the course of a life. Exciting mix up. gets you some action and some nature. good family/friend bonding as well.
