Seeing all avatars as the same picture

Just today I've noticed that everywhere there is an avatar, they're all the same picture: a woman looking to the viewer's left at an orange semicircle, all on a dark blue background.

I'm not sure if it's something on my computer, or if there's been a change in the site. Today is the first time that it has ever appeared.

It doesn't hurt any of the functionality that I've noticed yet.

I knew instantly what was going on. It threw me for a loop last year. I didn't know what the hell was going on. I was on my guard this year.
