Ever see / read /here something and think, "I coulda written that?"

Over the last few days, I've been watching the cutscenes to the game Blue Dragon each night after getting through a couple movies. And this is almost EXACTLY like something I would write. Some of these things are things I tried writing about in novels before, like the world splitting in half via machinery. That was literally the basis of a cyberpunk novel I gave up on years ago. There's also the whole "shadow beings inside people" thing that has similarities to the sun and moon spirits belonging to the two main characters from my recent debut. Except mine can MORPH.

I have a far better idea for the last quarter of the movie Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
It's my favourite director's superhero movie, which for me was excellent for the first three quarters, then nosedives.
