Without a doubt in My mind one of the greatest 2000s films along with the Dark Knight. This film was great right from the opening scene you know exactly what you are in for. in the 3 scenes with the zodiac killer they are brilliantly filmed and left me feeling cold chills extremely realistic scenes of the zodiac killer randomly executing innocent random people Such as the couple at the beginning and the other couple picnicking at the park And letting the woman with the baby on the highway live. The rest of the movie is great too the dialogue isn't boring and moves the plot along with the great actors I liked Jake Gyllenhaals performance as this cartoonist interested in cracking the Zodiac Killers Letters Along With His wife Chole Sevigny As His slightly annoyed wife who wants him to focus more on his children. Mark Ruffalo was good as the Colombo type detective who becomes frustrated at his inability to find the Zodiac Killer. Robert Downey Jrs character was sarcastic and funny I think Robert Downey Jr Was just playing himself in this role. The scene where Jake Gyllenhaals Character visits Robert Downey Jr after his character lost his job as a journalist at his house with the pong video game in the background on his tv was just hilarious. The ending was chilling too with Jake Gyllenhaals Character walking into a hardware store and recognizing the prime zodiac suspect and the exchanging these creepy stares. And the final scene when one of the survivors of the zodiac killer identifies the same guy that Jake Gyllenhaals Character saw in the hardware store almost a decade earlier. This Film Also Had A Great Soundtrack. I rate this film a 4.5 out of 5.
