Is happiness just chemicals flowing through your brain or something more?

What do you think?

I believe happiness is more of a choice you make rather than chemicals flowing through your brains. It is a choice.

You're both right - your choices effect the chemicals your brain creates.

Choose to focus your thoughts on love, charity, kindness, affection, accomplishments, satisfaction, abundance, generosity, gratitude, appreciation, beauty & positivity on a consistent basis and your brain will begin to create more of chemicals like dopamine and serotonin - which make you feel happier.

I once heard that if someone is feeling really low or upset, all they need to do is to start thinking and acting like they are happy...and happy hormones will be released making you happy. It works but it takes will power and discipline.
