Writers who also sang.. Obviously a non-singer won't count.

I've always liked those who do, because they do what's best for the band, and not themselves getting the credit. As a teen, I thought "He who sings it must have written it", but then writing consists not only of lyrics, but of who wrote the music. Sometimes you have two guys who write the music, and one guy who writes the lyrics. There's some thoroughly researched books on this, and I happen to be one who buys book like these, wanting to know EXACTLY who did what on the records.

Roger Waters in Pink Floyd.. He wrote 99% of the lyrics (and most of the music) David Gilmour and Rick Wright sing.

Robert Lamm wrote the most music for Chicago, but Terry wrote at least one for Pete, who wrote one for Robert, and Pankow would write one for one of those guys.

Robby Krieger (he did sing on one song) didn't write too much, but he wrote the music and all the lyrics (except the 2nd verse) for "Light My Fire" and wrote almost everything in "Hit Me", until Jim suggested they change it to "Touch Me".

If you know a story behind it, I'd love to hear it. Roger Waters once said, "Could you imagine me singing 'Breathe'? and went on to say how Gilmour and Wright's harmonies (and similar) vocals were vital to "Dark Side of the Moon".

John thought Paul should have let him sing "Oh Darling" since he would have done a better job on it.. You can hear him ad-lib what happened earlier at court, kinda funny, actually.

Do you mean like Dylan & McCartney?
