For those of you who are NFL fans, the official match for Super Bowl XXXVIII is up:
New England Patriots vs Carolina Panthers. Now let's make some predictions on who will win......

My prediction: I think Carolina's offense is better than New England's:

Carolina Panthers - 27
New England Patriots - 10

The Pats defense will shut down Carolina.

I agree with Slayton. The Pats got a crazy-good defense. Even Carolina's excellent running game won't be able to get past Vrabel and the Fellaz. :D

Patriots: 20
Panthers: 7

Two good defenses, pretty evenly matched offenses - though one stronger on the ground, the other through the air. But I think Vinatieri is the x-factor (again), giving The Pats the eventual edge.

NEW ENGLAND 16
CAROLINA 10

I think the key to this game will be the team who scores the most points. The team who can score the most points will win. It will either be the Panthers or the Patriots. One of these teams will definitely lose.

:D

I'm with sunfrog on this one, I feel the most exciting match-ups has already gone by in the KC/INDY game and the double overtime St.Louis game (why am I having trouble remembering who they face? arrrrghhhhhh)

I think that NE will take this match based on their performance so far, Carolina is a bit streaky. But I will feel no different, regardless if I'm right or wrong

Live in Boston so...Pats.

Defenses win the big games and the Pats have it....

Inexperience Killed the panthers on their chance at overtime

1.-spent a useless time out on the 22-29 drive
2.- I was yelling at the tv screen to NOT TRY TO SCORE SO QUICKLY
- run the ball a couple of times, take time off the clock. 1:56 is all the time in the world to achieve 15 yards.
-They could have picked up a first down before they picked up a touchdown.
-They tried to score without excercising time management

3.-final kickoff by the panthers (kesey?) didn't help either

Last drive by the panthers was really more a game of nerves than it was of numbers.

Even I knew this, and I work at a printing firm. I was thinking, why didn't he drop a knee and get another play going? Since I am a Pats fan, I was fine with his failure to realize this.

yeah... I just wanted to see superbowl overtime I guess.he also caught it at the one. If he let it go out they would have had the ball on the 20 thats 19 more yards than taking a knee. I guess Pressure made him not think straight.
