Form should always follow Function.
It's fine to get creative, but not to the point where the creativity defeats the point of purpose of the piece.

I went to Tesco after work with the letters BMP on my hand to get a few things for work as well as a big food shop, B was for Brush, M was for masks, but damn P, could not remember, for 20 minutes I walked around trying to remember P and COULD NOT DO IT, even went through the P + vowels in my head, so phoned a member of staff outside and it was a ******g Plug, as in for a sink.

By the time I get to the store, I never remember what's on my shopping list, so I use a phone app called ColorNote. It's easy to use, and it's free.

I always think about using the voice recorder on my cell phone to remember things (when I was younger I always wanted one of those portable, pocket recorders you'd just speak into throughout the day to make personal notes for yourself)... but, I always forget it's a feature on the phone and forget to use it!

I was a member of my Boy Scout troop for a number of years. Though I sometimes felt like an outcast in it, I also talked to a number of people there and really liked the troop overall. I got a lot out of it which benefitted me in high school, right now in college, and I imagine more so in the future. In Boy Scouts, you can become an Eagle Scout, except it's not easy to achieve this. It's estimated that only 4% of Boy Scouts earn this rank. Factoring in the amount of people who aren't Boy Scouts though, the percentage of people with this rank is even smaller. When I first joined the troop, I had no intention of achieving this rank. It seemed way too hard, so I decided to not even attempt it.
However, this was before I met an elderly gentleman in my Boy Scout troop named Mr. Bill Vasilides, or Mr. V, as we called him. He was a Korean War veteran who was part of the troop for many years. Though he didn't have any children who were current members of the troop, he liked helping out the boys. He was a really nice man and his presence was greatly appreciated by everyone, me included. After I told him I had no intention of becoming an Eagle Scout as I thought it was too much of a commitment, he responded with "What commitment?" and gave me quite a bit of encouragement to achieve the rank. The longer I stayed in the troop and the more I talked to him, the more interested I was in becoming an Eagle Scout. Eventually, I was fully set on becoming an Eagle Scout, with his encouragement to guide me along the way. I also chose him as my mentor when I went about completing my Eagle Project, in fact. Eventually, on July 6th, 2017, I completed my final board of review and earned the rank of an Eagle Scout. I believe that, without Mr. V's encouragement and guidance, I wouldn't have ever earned this rank.
A few years ago, I was saddened to learn that he was diagnosed with cancer. Hearing that news for the first time felt as if I had the wind knocked out of me. In spite of that, however, he was strong and he kept fighting it. At one point, my entire troop went to visit him and his wife at his house. I could tell he was deeply moved by the experience. That was the last time I met him in person though. He passed away on January 6th, 2021. Earlier today, I went to his memorial service. While there, I got to meet his family and many members of my troop from current and past generations. It was nice seeing them all show up and getting to meet them as I haven't talked to a few of them in many years. Overall, it was a somber atmosphere and though his death greatly saddens me, I want to let you all know that he was a wonderful and kind-hearted man. He helped me out a lot in Boy Scouts and in my life. I'll never forget him. Rest in peace, Mr. V.

Nobody in the city is gonna do this. (I also detest anything that needs a signature.)
Many places in the city don’t have a package room or a doorman or a front desk where stuff can safely be left. And the locked mailboxes in the foyer are too small.
One solution is to have one’s packages delivered to the nearest fedx office, but even this could be a hassle as most New Yorkers don’t drive.

I heard a news report on the radio before Christmas - it said that some boroughs of NYC wanted to add a $3.00 charge onto every single individual online delivery order (at least during the holiday season) during the pandemic - since so many more people were shopping online and not in stores!
The reason given was that the trucks (UPS, FedEx, USPS & others) were creating gridlock on streets as they'd stop in front of buildings to make drop offs - double, triple & quadruple parking!
That the foyers of apartment buildings were filling to the ceilings with packages that had to be staged there before their owners could retrieve them - and doormen were becoming overwhelmed.
Don't know what happened to the idea, but I never heard about it going through.

Everyone’s at home now due to the pandemic so I would imagine it’s easier now. The deliverer wouldn’t go to the person’s apartment. He would ring the lobby bell & the person would come downstairs. All the buildings have an inner locked front door.
So wouldn't that then be a problem for all types of packages, not just signature required? I've never lived in the city so I don't know how this works.
It’s a problem, of course, which is why 90k packages are lost annually.
I like my Connecticut delivery service: all packages are vaulted over the front fence. Easy. :p

Interesting news: Sex & the City, minus Kim Cattrall, is returning for a 10-parter on HBO. This seems like a terrible idea to me. Bleeding this excellent original show dry. No one loved it more than me, but the first movie was only passable & the 2nd movie was garbage. Oh, well, what do I know.
In other news: Nicole Kidman is slated to play Lucille Ball & Javier Bardem her husband in a new movie. Not a huge fan of I Love Lucy so will be interesting to see how this plays.

So a very famous primetime TV news anchor here, who is also currently dating a former Chief Minister (equivalent to a state Governor for USA) was duped by scammers into thinking that she was offered a teaching job at Harvard.
Kinda sounds mean to laugh at her expense, but this is someone who has indulged in fake news on several occasions in her career. So it's not a surprise she didn't thoroughly investigate this offer.
Remarkable story of scamming and it also shows how some people think too much of themselves.

To assume that you can get a job of a professor at the prestigious institute like Harvard without even having a PhD, shows you exactly that. NDTV, or the channel that she worked for, only employs kids or relatives of politicians and high profile bureaucrats. These people come from privileged backgrounds and have a history of things being handed to them.
Also, I have watched her on the telly and social media for years now. One of the most pompous reporters out here (working with a channel that routinely indulges in fake news and which was just recently fined millions for share fraud), who in the past has mocked people for lesser mistakes.
And even in this case, she hasn't revealed all the details because it will reveal Visa fraud.

Marks was a riot. I saw him on one of the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts years ago, and couldn't find him afterwards, because they'd introduced him as John Whitestone. Later I found out his name was Guy Marks (real name Mario Scarpa). Here he uses some of the same material, but funnier. This is one of the best comedy routines I've ever seen.

Seems like Guy Marks was doing "Deep Fakes" before there was any CGI.
I just can't get over how his face changes into Bogart - and it's not overt (like Jim Carrey doing Nicholson or Eastwood) - I can't even see Marks changing his face or tell exactly how he's doing it, he just suddenly "becomes" Bogart! (With Gary Cooper it's a series of expressions, but with Bogart it's like the bone structure of his face just morphs into Bogie's.)
P.S. this is the only impersonation of Gary Cooper I've ever seen - and it's dead on.

I'm not the cook in our house, (and Hubby is sleeping right now, so I can't ask him), but when he was having the same problem of the shells sticking to the eggs when he tried to peel them, he Googled it, and watched several YouTube videos about it. Don't quote me on any of this, but I heard that adding vinegar or salt to the water might help with the peeling (but I might be confusing this with something else).
I think you only boil them about 5 minutes, the turn off the flame, then let them sit in the hot water about 12 minutes. I also seem to remember reading that refrigerating them for a couple hours after removing them from the hot water will also help the shells come off better.

After the eggs have hardened in the boiling water, simply drop them into a bowl of cold water. That separates the shell from the egg.

I think you bring them to a boil & then remove from heat. 12 minutes is exactly what I’m doing.
After the eggs have hardened in the boiling water, simply drop them into a bowl of cold water. That separates the shell from the egg.
Maybe I have been trying to shell them too soon. Will wait a little longer in the cold water. Someone said gently roll them before peeling.
Thanks everyone so far.
lol. I'd read something about the age of the egg can be a factor too. I just can't remember if you need older eggs or newer. The comment was to buy two cartons. One for regular cooking and one just for boiling, after keeping it in the fridge a bit longer. Like a week longer. Who knows. The common idea I'm seeing is to chill them in ice water after. I SWEAR I once read to either cook them either with the boil or to drop them INTO the boil. Hell if I know. It's danged sasquatch at this point for me.

I put a Kinder Joy Egg on his desk as a reminder. Hopefully he'll see it tomorrow and ask me about it, and that will remind me to ask him about how to boil eggs. (Even if he eats it, he'll still probably ask me why I left it for him, so it should still work as a reminder.)

Can somebody - anybody - tell me how to boil eggs?
No matter what level of water I use, what kind of pan, how much boiling time, how much resting time - I can never get all the shells off. If I boil 6 eggs, 3 will be ruined because the shelling pulls off the whites.
Please please HELP. :(
It's not foolproof, nothing is, but if we're talking hard boiled eggs then hitting the top and bottom of them on a surface, then roll them backwards and forwards with downward pressure. This will usually fracture the shell into small pieces and allow you to tear it off in strips. I don't know if there's any science behind this, but I do find that the longer it's been since I boiled them, the more likely the shell is to come away more easily. What you really want is the membrane to adhere to the shell so that it all comes off together.
I've seen the pro's put them into a bowl of ice water, but I don't know if that's just to cool them more quickly (for TV time restraints) or if it actually helps with the peeling process.

Fortunately, leaving the Kinder Joy Egg on his desk worked. He said this is how he makes hard-boiled eggs. (He usually makes a lot of them on the weekend, so he has them ready all week.)
How to boil eggs:
He said, "This is eggactly how I do it."
1) Let the hot water run until it gets really hot.
2) Fill a tupperware (large enough to fit 8 or 9 eggs flat) with water. (He uses Grade A Large Eggs.)
3) Make sure that all of the eggs are submerged in the hot water. (This is to make sure that the eggs don't crack when they hit the boiling hot water.)
4) Fill a 3 quart tupperware half way with water. (Our tupperware is about 9 inches by about 5 inches.)
5) Add 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons of salt to the water.
6) Without the eggs, heat the water in the microwave for about 3 minutes. (Our microwave is 1100 watts, so adjust this to match your microwave wattage.)
7) Move the eggs, one at a time, from the hot water to the boiling water.
8) Heat the eggs for 3 minutes.
9) Stir.
10) Then heat the eggs for another 3 minutes. (Making it 6 minutes total so far.)
11) Stir.
12) Then heat the eggs for another 3 minutes. (Making it 9 minutes total.)
13) Stir.
14) Using tongs, remove one egg. Run it under cold water.
15) Spin the egg on the counter like a top. If the egg spins straight up, (meaning that it doesn't flop around), then it's done.
16A) If the egg is done, tap the egg on counter. Submerge it in cold water. Then, the egg should peel easily.
16B) If the egg is NOT done, put the whole bowl of water and eggs back into the microwave for 60-90 seconds, depending on how much it wobbles when it spins.
17) Then repeat the spinning steps, until they're done.
He said that he did a lot of trial end error before he figured out these steps, but this is what works for him, with our microwave. Your microwave may vary based on the wattage.
Also, our microwave has a lazy-susan type of tray on the bottom that spins while the food cooks. That may or may not make a difference.
I hope this helps. :)

Exactly! This where I run into the difficulty getting the membrane & shell off simultaneously.

Decided to investigate the numerous bags of stuff underneath our spare room bed. Seasonal blankets, that kind of thing.
Opened a bag & found a large summer bed comforter that I swear I have never in my life seen before. It’s been washed at some time - more than once since some of the stuffing is bunched up - but too big for my washing machine.
Is this something I had when I lived in NYC & have forgotten about? So bizarre since I do not forget.

Does anyone know a trick to clean Velcro?
Ya know how everything gets stuck to it? Is there any other way to clean it than sit there with a tweezers or use your fingernails to try pick out every bit of debris one by one (which is very time consuming and trying on the patience)?

Certain things I use have Velcro, and it's just kind of gross when it's all dirty.
Last night I used a plastic ankle brace for my walk (trying to mitigate the effects of tendentious in my left ankle) and the brace fastens with Velcro - which is all dirty because it has all different color fuzz from socks & stuff stuck to it.
I always hate getting poodles stuck on that =\ I imagine that would be hell on your ankle.

I’m definitely OCD in certain circumstances. It’s a matter of feeling safe in one’s routine especially during a pandemic. It’s something we can control. I have gotten worse during this past year. Breakfast must be going by 8 o’clock, not 8.30 a.m. & so on & so forth.
I’m upset that my favorite DUNKIN for some reason has temporarily closed. Upset even though there’s a DUNKIN at the end of my street. Every day I walk by the closed one hoping it has re-opened.
I hate disorder & disarray of any kind (which makes me hard to live with) & I can get very upset if things are topsy turvy.
And I would never open my KIND bars upside down.

I’m clueless with prices. I have no idea what Kind bars cost. I only eat a certain number of foods & Kind Healthy Grains are a must-have. I eat some kind of nut every day.
So the Lance bars - what else is in these things? Are they nutritionally sound? I ask since I never heard of them. As a vegetarian, I need protein!

They're kind of like Peanut Brittle, but lean much more toward the peanuts than the brittle.
They're very hard & crunchy - I advise people with dental work, like me, eat (chew) them very slowly & carefully.
Not all gooey and sugary sweet like Payday, but probably not as healthy as Kind bars.
Lance Peanut Bar Ingredients:
Peanuts, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Salt.
I bought these on a whim one day, having never heard of the company before, and found them to be very nice.

She was quite funny in Minari, same in here. Sometimes some drop pearls from their mouth (this is a saying in my country), but it's obvious she was grateful for the award and very excited / emotional and she didn't mean that part.
Minari was an amazing film but last year's Parasite outperformed Minari. Even though Minari was more like an American film since Lee Isaac Chung was born in US and Bong Joon Ho is a Korean director.

Here's a playlist I put together some time ago of my favorite scores from science fiction films. My only rules when creating it were that the scores needed to have some science fiction vibes (not feel predominantly action-y, emotional, etc., if that makes sense) and the score also had to be written for the film (which was why I didn't include anything from 2001: A Space Odyssey, for instance).
Feel free to recommend some other scores to add to this list if you can think of any.
On a side note, the score from Solaris is my favorite in this list.

Article in the NY Times about this. Turns out you Seattle-area folks think AC is for wimps. But, now suddenly, you all need it.
We have a single AC in the main bedroom. When I come out of the bedroom & stand at the top of the stairs, the rising heat from downstairs almost knocks one down. My downstairs thermometer will register 90 degrees later, for sure.

Most new homes here have AC, but in the past they didn't because a normal summer high was in the 80s and then only in latter July and August, so AC wasn't needed back before the 'warming' started.

That way the warm air which rises will be expelled. I use 4 window fans two at one end of a single story house set to blow in, and the other two set to blow out at the other end. If the outside temp is much cooler than the inside I can drop the house temp by 10 degrees fairly quickly, even more depending on how the temperature variants are.

Currently in Switzerland. A place where we consider that calibrating our temperature scale on the melting point of water is more handy than on the melting point of some ammonium chloride solution.
That being said, I'm still shocked Switzerland doesn't use a temperature scale calibrated on the melting point of cheese.

Connecticut weather channel scared us to pieces over the weekend. I was afraid to go to church yesterday for fear of the rain & draconian winds. Off I went & it was fine & I got home unscathed.
We had a ton of rain & it’s still raining today, but it will be over by tomorrow, which will be dry & sunny.
Much Ado About Nothing as WS said.

It turned out to be weather that wasn't even worth mentioning. Very little rain or wind. The forecast of wind had me worried about my trees falling.

We got a lot of rain, but very little wind. There was a lot of flooding in some areas, but it didn't affect us much.
It was nice to have cooler weather for a few days, but it's supposed to go back up to being too hot again starting Tuesday.

I was going to suggest bypassing technology altogether and resorting to witchcraft, but then I remembered all of my past bosses are still alive, and so maybe it is not as effective as I had previously hoped.

Last year I put the gut of our pumpkins into our compost bin, thought I had gotten all the seeds out but I guess not. Lo and behold this year we had a pumpkin patch! Well, not really a patch as this was the only pumpkin that grew, but man, one thing I know for sure is that I'm never gonna try to plant pumpkins. They take over your yard.

Thanks! Probably looks so good because I had nothing to do with it. When I saw what was happening I just let it go. We had a bunch of flowers and two pumpkins growing but one fizzled out when it was kind of small. This one grew perfect because it was outside the bin and was resting on a small brush pile. No obstructions. Will be interesting to see if this grows again next year. We also had some tomato plants growing out of the bin. Apparently I'm not a bad gardener when I don't try to be a gardener. When I try things go south.

I love it when veggies grow mysteriously all on their own! Tomatoes are famous for that.
I once had a tomatillo grow beside a blueberry bush. At first I thought it was just a weed and was going to pull it, but thanks to me being lazy it got big enough to realize that it was a tomatillo. The thing is, I never had planted a tomatillo in many years, so it must have gotten there by a bird.

You put a little bit of water in the container, drop in a cooked egg & shake a few times. The little pointy things pierce the egg membrane & the shell comes off easily.

Just looking at one of the videos of yesterday’s school shooting in Michigan. That one teacher saved all those kids’ lives. The shooter shouted through the door that he was a sheriff, but the teacher didn’t believe him & would not open the door. When the shooter said “bro” they all knew he was a student & they all fled. Kudos to that teacher who had the common sense not to let the killer inside.

The directions with this gadget calls for dropping the eggs into boiling water uncovered & boiling on medium for 10 minutes. Turns out this was the trick: no other recipe called for the eggs to be put into boiling water. They all called for the eggs to be in cold water & then bring the water to a boil.
Ironic thing is I no longer need this gadget because the shells come off real easy with the above method. Oh, well. :)

In retrospect, I think I'm glad I didn't grow up with MTV.
(My family didn't have cable and I never had it until I was in my late 20's, living on my own).
The reason is that I formed my own images of songs in my head, and it was those self-made images & associations that made certain songs special to me.
Now, with YouTube, I can look up a song I like and see the video that was made for it... and I tell you, I'm often disappointed to see how some songs were interpreted visually.
So many videos have little to nothing to do with the song or were just someone's attempt to add something flashy and visual to a tune.
And so many are nothing like the images the songs evoked in my own head. If I'd seen some of the videos when I first heard the music, I more than likely would have grown up feeling completely different about those songs - and more times than not, would have had a negative association with many songs I grew up loving based solely on the melodies and lyrics.
Just thought I'd share that! ;)

I had a major Mandela-movie-effect.
Was watching Alien (1979) again because it was on TCM-OnDemand. I've seen it several times, but not recently.
I kept thinking there was a scene where Captain Dallas (Tom Skerritt) was found, still barely alive, strung up in a kind of nest the alien had made aboard the Nostromo. I thought I remembered Dallas speaking to the crew (or at least Ripley) - perhaps asking them to put him out of his misery or blow up the ship.
Now, I know there are scenes like this in Aliens (1986) where people are strung up on the base in alien nests, still alive, but being used as hosts for new aliens. And I realize Dallas would not have been a host because (as far as I know) only a face-hugger alien can "impregnate" a human with a new xenomorph.
What lends to my apparently false memory is that, in Alien, we kind of see the demise of the other crew members at the hands of the xenomorph, but with Dallas, he's in the ducts, there's a jump scare with the first full shot of the alien's head, then we never see Dallas again - his death is not depicted in any way (thus I was waiting for him to show up in a scene that did not occur).
Any clues on why I'm remembering this? Deleted scene maybe?
Or am I just misconstruing scenes from other sequels from the Alien franchise?

Good news - my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was.
My memory of Alien was not a Mandela effect. I looked it up, and in a Director's cut of the movie there was a scene (deleted from the original) where Dallas and Brett (Harry Dean Stanton) as well are found, still barely alive and cocooned into the alien's nest. Apparently, the men are being held because the xenomorph can lay eggs (I thought only the "Queen" laid eggs?) that could impregnate the men - according to one explanation.
I must have seen the Director's cut at some point.
The scene does give closure to Dallas's fate, and he does ask Ripley to kill him, which she does.
It can be found on YouTube, but is an extremely disturbing scene.

The New York Times tech team offered this very good tip last week.
If there’s something you want to buy online leave it in your cart for a couple of days. Even better, pull it out of your cart & put it back in a couple of times.
Most very likely you will get an email from the seller offering a discount. Can’t remember if this only applies to first-time customers, but I think it must do.
Anyway, I tried it buying a dress from a site I’d never bought from before. Eventually ended up with a discount of $49 when they saw me dithering about the purchase.
Good tip IMO.

I’m becoming more American every day - rushing the seasons & the holidays.

I’ve had so much “designer coffee” this week, but the best coffee I’ve had was from DNKN. These places with their fancy coffee are so expensive & over-hyped. Had a latte today, not hot enough. Had Americano coffee yesterday, nice & hot, but too strong. And both of these places asked for an electronic tip before I’d even had a taste of the coffee. I declined to tip since I didn’t know what I was tipping for.

Strange interesting fact: we know how Taylor Swift’s new album has clobbered the charts this week, but did you know that 10,000 units were sold as cassettes? Seems that some folks still like a cassette player.
Turns out that many of her fans like something to hold onto as it were. Streaming accounts for most of her sales, but her fans also love CDs & vinyl.

I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, but I still buy my music on CDs and my movies on DVDs. I prefer having a physical copy over streaming. But I usually buy them at garage sales and flea markets because they're much cheaper than in the stores. (I bought almost 100 DVDs at a garage sale this past weekend for only $85, and most of them were Blu-Rays. :))

I saw something on tv a few months ago about how, not only were records sales continuing to rise, but that Cassettes were now also starting to sell again.

Sell them to a pet store. Tell them they're tiny hammocks for hamsters.

I still buy DVDs, but am gonna cut back because I CAN’T FIND ANYTHING IN MY COLLECTION! They’re on two floors of the house & it’s driving me nuts. If only I had the time & motivation to alphabetize them.

I can see people wanting a vinyl album (many of them have memorable covers) but so surprised people still buy cassettes. (I never play them, but I still have all my vinyls.)
The reasoning from Swift’s fans, apparently, is that they want something tangible to represent her. I can relate.

That sound a lot like my DVD collection. They're all over the house, and most of them aren't in any order. I take pictures of all of my DVD shelves, and when I want to find one, I look through the pictures until I find it.
I just found a DVD cataloging app that looks like it might help. I can scan the barcodes, and it fills in most of the information. It doesn't get everything, but what it does get definitely helps. Plus it has options for all sorts of stuff, including what shelf the discs are on, if I loaned the discs out to anyone, and more.
It's VERY SLOW, but it's a free app, as long as I keep the data on my phone, but there's a paid option to save all the info to the cloud.
I've only been using it for a few days, but I've already scanned in almost 300 DVDs. It's called DVD Library.

I too have photographed my DVDs so far as I can. Many of them are behind others so it all needs to be dragged out.
Constantly eyeing lovely shelves in the front parlor if I could chuck out old National Geographics. Husband would have a fit if I did that even though he’s never read them.

Some of my DVDs are on bookcases, which lets me fill the back of the shelves with DVDs, and display my Funko Pops in front of the DVDs.

I don’t do this because of the sheer volume. DVDs are in several bookcases. I fill the back of the shelves & then I fill the front of the shelves also. So what’s in the back can’t actually be seen.
I could throw out my entire library, but I’m not getting rid of my books. I actually have a room we call “the bookroom”.
And why two people in a Victorian are running out of space is beyond me.

Apart from Industry, I'm not sure I'd bother with the rest if I were you Stirchley. :D
I have Irma Vep recorded and have watched the first episode. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't something which had me really eager to see the next episode.
I'm still not sure how I feel about The White Lotus. I didn't think the first season was much cop, but as it's different (but the same) I'm undecided as to whether to bother with it or not.
I just didn't 'get' The Rehearsal, Not only did I not get the humour, I wasn't sure where it was supposed to be.

I loved the White Lotus season 1. Saw it twice.
Don’t know if I will like The Rehearsal, but will give it a shot.
Irma Vep I will either like or hate.
People are really noticing Industry now. Lots of Twitter threads, which didn’t exist a year ago when it first came out.

I’m a few episodes in on Irma Vep. Not loving it, but will finish. Huge fan of Alicia Vikander & she’s great in it. If I had to write a synopsis of this show, I wouldn’t be able to. Can barely follow the “plot” & I hate flashbacks.
I detest The Rehearsal. Who is this annoying little creepy guy whom I never heard of? The premise of the show is so very weird. Ugh.

So weird today. Husband wanted a warmer blanket so I was digging around in the storage bags under our spare bedroom bed. Came across a large black storage bag that had a summer quilt inside it. A large reversible quilt.
What’s weird is that I have never in my life seen this quilt before. Unless I had it during my 10 years in Manhattan & have forgotten it, but I don’t think so since I still have & still use another quilt from that time. I rarely forget stupid stuff like this & I have somewhat of a photographic memory.
Anyway, will drag it out again & use it next summer. Wherever it’s from, I like it. :)

Felt pissy when I went to Dunkin today for coffee because a couple behind me were suddenly in front of me since I stepped away & spoke to one of the baristas for a second. I was grumbling under my breath when the couple told me they had paid for my large coffee. Boy, did I feel stupid.
