USA Today reports that Michael J. Fox will play an accomplished surgeon on two February episodes of NBC's Scrubs, a rare on-screen performance for the actor since his departure from the hit sitcom, Spin City, in 2000.

Fox's character is a "superdoc," a funny, quirky guy with both medical and surgical specialties who inadvertently forces the Scrubs' physicians — J.D., Turk and Cox — to face their own shortcomings.

I'm sorry if I kept your hopes up. Mike still (and unfortunately for the rest of his life) have what he has. :( . It hurts to even think of it. Though with medication and will power, he can get enough strength to act....rarely.

Scrubs is my favorite sitcom, and generally the only new one I watch. Knowing that Fox will be on it for two episodes is excellent news. I'm looking forward to it.

I forgot about that. I do watch Scrubs myself becayse it's after Friends. (Can't miss final season). I miss Michael on television. He was so great on Family Ties, and then on Spin City.

I can't stand Friends anymore, but Scrubs is fresh, so I like it.

i am at the end of the friends generation, but I was never really into it. i watched Spin City a few times and liked it, although I could see how it would get old after a while. Currently I am obsessed with 24, Gilmore Girls and Will & Grace. (hehe...my first 'grown-up' movie was Back to the Future when I was like 4)

Joey and Rachael aren't together anymore. Besides Friends, I too am a 24 fan as well as Law and Order and ER and others I see that catch my eye.
