Well done, Chris. Blah, blah, blah.
Let's all stand in a circle and take turns sucking Chris in thanks for the new design.
Play the theme music. Goodnight.

It's weird... and bigger... tons of empty space. Maybe it's just on my computer. Where is the Shoutbox?

Yeah where is the shoutbox? It better just be my unobservant nature missing it!!
Patience. We'll probably get a whisper-box and a mild-yelp-arena too when he's done ;)

Geez, the font on this site is now gargantuan! Weird! I think I'll like it better but I may have to adjust my screen properties to make it better. Weird to have the extra space on the right and left.
I AM glad to see the News page finally updated. It was, like, two years behind the times there for a LONG time. Much cleaner and nicer.
I seem to remember the last time Yoda updated the site design, one of the last things to come back was the Shoutbox, so I'm assuming that's what's happened again this time. I'm willing to be patient ... for a few more minutes. ;)
I can finally see everything! Thanks Chris.
The site looks great. It looks clean. I'll need to get used to how large the names are, but I like the extra wide space for the text. I also really like that you included the members 'joined' date up top. It will be much easier to keep track of anniversaries now. :)
Chris.....I love it. It's neater, compact and easy to use. You really know how to make a member proud. :yup:

Why the huge borders though?
I will have to get used to this new design. But the place looks great.
Lots of empty space. Kong should probably let it sink in a bit before solidifying his feelings on it.

Lots of empty space. Kong should probably let it sink in a bit before solidifying his feelings on it.Yeah, there's a bit too much in some areas, but I'm gonna be juggling things around for the next few days, so feel free to lemme know if anything you run across strikes (or irks) your fancy.

It looks neat to me. I think it's cool that you have added a "report a bad post"-box. Coolness! Gotta go.. Have some Toose-posts to go over... :D
And that mild-yelp-arena post was hillarious, Golgata Man! :yup:
[edit] Oh an where's the "Who's Online?" function? Can we still see who's online and what they're doing?

I don't really like it, but I'll get used to it. It takes a lot more work to scroll through it.

The thread icons (gifs) don't show up right for me. They just show up as x's. http://www.movieforums.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=10
On the newreply box, I get the x's for "Close current tag" and "Close all tags."
I don't really like it, but I'll get used to it. It takes a lot more work to scroll through it.The good news is I'll be changing things (today, hopefully) so that each person can choose to revert to the older look...that is, with the avatar and all that on the left.

On the newreply box, I get the x's for "Close current tag" and "Close all tags."That's odd. Have you tried right-clicking and choosing "Show Picture," and a hard refresh?
Also, which thread icons do you mean? The little envelopes to the left of each thread on the forum display?
The good news is I'll be changing things (today, hopefully) so that each person can choose to revert to the older look...that is, with the avatar and all that on the left.So it shall be written; so it shall be done. Enjoy:

You can find the toggle under the "Thread Display Options" header.
Cool. I'm liking all of this. Very swish. Seem to be some options i didn't notice b4 n'all. I do so like choices :). I've switched back to side-mode tho, coz it is quicker to scan thru. Nice one Yods.

Having been familiar with the design before its going to take me a little while to adjust to the new look. However it does look nice and airy. One or two queries of a sort though. Its nice and clear and light and white perhaps a little too much so. The former look was cosy while this one in its newness looks a bit sparren. I'm sure with more features that feel of putting on freshly warmed socks would be back.
I'm also going to have to get used to searching the changed areas, I'm slowly getting there.
Golgot also has a point. The side mode is easier to navigate.
A thumbs up with a few errrr?

My first thought is that it's kind of a weird format for presenting individual messages. It doesnt look as much like a message board now or a discussion so much as a bunch of free-floating comments to me. I'll let it settle for a while.
Edit: I like the drag-down function on people's posts.

No need to get religious about it ;)
Okay, I finished most of the major changes last night. You probably won't be seeing anything else too drastic for awhile. A few modificiations since this thread was started:
Navigation (Home/User CP/FAQ/etc) moved to top of breadcrumb.
All table headers converted to new style.
All remnants of vB's default blue design (both graphical and otherwise) more or less disposed of in favor of the site's black, white, gray and green color scheme.
Latest MoFo update in the header on the home page (http://www.movieforums.com/community/index.php).
Related Items now shown on individual thread pages, when applicable. Example (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=6017).
Glossary (http://www.movieforums.com/community/glossary.php) added (link found in "Quick Links" menu).
Spoiler tag generator added to Enhanced Mesage Interface (http://www.movieforums.com/community/images/editor/spoilers.gif)
That's about it. Thanks, everyone, for putting up with the changes and bugs. Suggestions and critiques, as always, are welcome.
