How is the quality of The Great Silence (1968) on Blu Ray?

I was thinking of buying it on blu ray, but some blu ray releases have crappy quality, especially of some older movies, where as other ones look great.

Or maybe I should wait for the 4K release, or will this movie not likely get a 4K anytime soon do you think?
