Just watched the pilot for this HBO dramedy about the crumbling marriage of Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Robert (Thomas Haden Church) who had no idea how unhappy they were until an incident at the birthday party of Frances' best friend (Molly Shannon) climaxing in the heart attack of her husband (Tracy Letts) which prompts Frances to ask Robert for a divorce. This is the beginning of a very long and what appears is going to be a very ugly divorce by the way the pilot ended. I was undecided about whether to keep watching until the final five minutes which grabbed me. Parker finally gets to shed her Carrie Bradshaw persona and Church continues to prove why he is one of the industry's most underrated actors. I think it's in season 3 now but I think I 'm going to try and catch up.
