My husband and I just binge watched this amazing Netflix original, Black Summer.
It is a thriller about a group of strangers banding together to survive the zombie apocalypse and is a prequel of Z-Nation. However, it is a very serious take on the matter. It is a first hand experience on what it would be like if this really happened (as realistically as they possibly could)
The creators portray this excellent hand held camera work, talented actors, unexpected twists and turns and an absolutely terrifying version of the classic movie monster.
It's incredibly dark and unnerving. The way it's directed keeps you at the edge of seat and allows you to feel just as nervous and stressed as the characters.
The series is only 8 episodes long but in my opinion it's very worth it. I came here specifically to recommend it, I would even go as far as to say it's better than The Walking Dead.
