My favorite is the dog and nap cartoon, also like the tug of war and the sweater fish. I could see the tug of war cartoon in the New Yorker magazine. The cartoons are also easy in the eyes.

Btw I notice you are doing something different than other cartoonists . Most cartoons ( at least the one's I' m familiar with) have the captions at the bottom of the cartoon. You have your wry comedic observation at the top. Is that a personal style of yours?

I' m wondering, tho , does the second cartoon in the second set have a caption? Or maybe it's just funny that they are staring at each other.

I like the cat carrying dog very much, along with the dog eat dog world cartoon.

My absolute favorite is the diner cartoon. Not only did it put a great big grin on my face, but it reminds me of the Hopper painting - Nighthawks- which admittedly may have greater renown, but is no where near as funny.51716

Hey rcleary171, I just went into your blog. Lots more cartoons there . One of my favorites is the Reese's peanut butter cups - what a clever turn of mind you have. A great way of seeing things . And like the sky dog walking service, it's just totally original - yet universally appealing. The ' cute' dog (say no to this face) is very funny- and cute- too. I think my favorite is the procrastinators support group. Superbly funny. (Ah..... perhaps I identify ;D )

Only problem for you now is you may have to create a few more of your whimsically funny pieces; cause I've seen this year's bunch. Great stuff.

I like how you manage to convey expressions on your cartoon creatures rcleary171 with a simple stroke of your pen.

Cats do not look guilty. Dogs do.

Dogs , especially when confronting a traffic cop, can also look obsequious.

And there was the one on your website - 'I think we should see other fish' OMG the expressions on these fish faces reminded me of the scene in Heartburn with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep - just before she dumped a pie in his face. Lmao.

My favorites were the fish boyfriend - and this most recent one on medical malpractice lmao. This last one could easily be in The New Yorker magazine ( my benchmark for the finest in cartoons)

Just dropping by to say thanks for the latest batch of cartoons, rcleary171. I enjoyed them all, but my favorites were the dog tunnel of treats, and the happy groom, and also the bird cartoons. The best of them all imho was 'We Have To Talk' - inspiried and hilarious.
