Decided to join and give this place a shot after getting banned from Blu-ray.com forums. -_-
Don't know how things will turn out since I don't know any of you yet, or your characteristics. All I know is, I'm here to talk about film. That's my only intention.

Movies: Alien, Blade Runner, Citizen Kane, Ed Wood, Inside Llewyn Davis, The King of Comedy, Lonesome (1928), Manhunter, My Dinner with Andre, Pulp Fiction, RoboCop (1987), Sideways, The Silence of the Lambs, Silver Linings Playbook, Warrior.
Directors: Alfred Hitchcock, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino.
Not gonna lie, making a list of favorite directors was harder than I thought, since I haven't seen every movie out there. So it doesn't feel right including them. But I'll update my list at some point in the future.

Here are a couple of hints to get you started in discussion and fun!
- Make sure you update your profile with your 10 favorite films and a profile banner so you have your personal space set up on the forums. Hover over your avatar in any thread (or click on the little icon with your avatar at the top of the forums page) to get to your profile.
- Check out some discussion threads to get the hang of how things flow around here
- The site has a Shoutbox, so maybe pop in there to say Hi, as well.
- If you are looking for a quick activity, check out the quizzes.
If you are looking for more info-driven content, check out the user reviews, or perhaps one of Holden Pike's Director Appreciation Threads (Just search for director appreciation).
Lastly, the best piece of advice I can recommend is to try to understand that MoFo (MOvie FOrums) is a diverse community with people of all backgrounds and political stances, as well as extremely varied tastes in film, so sometimes discussions can get a bit heated. Best approach is to have a thick skin, and roll with the punches. :)

Long and complicated story. Basically, the short of it is, the comic book movie community over there is very toxic and I got sick of it. That's probably one of my internet weaknesses, is when a community is that inconsistent. What triggered me into getting ban was when I was accused of disliking Black Panther, even though Black Panther is on my top 5 MCU films. Then as tension grew, I made the mistake of posting a Captain Marvel meme, as the mods had about just enough.
Because he's a cyberpunk. :cool:

Yeah, I'll try my best to behave. I love to challenge other's opinions, but some people take it the wrong way. I just like having friendly debates. It would be boring if everyone just agreed with each other about everything.
People never agree about everything but it can still be boring for other reasons. By the way, I've never been to blue-ray.com.
