I'm very, very surprised there has been no mention of it when I did a search to avoid duplicates.. I think it's the best show ever; that was one good things in the 90s - many good TV shows.
I just read they were all on here... https://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x5s28j
It's a mock-talk show with actors and other celebrities who play themselves... A great satire on movies and Hollywood in general. I thought Garry Shandling was pretty popular, but it seems only about 5% of people I talk to on Movie/TV discussion boards know it.

I agree with you, Matt. It was a very well done show from all aspects. I've always been a big Rip Torn fan, so it held special interest. But the whole cast, and the writing, were first rate. Hard to believe that Shandling is gone.

Same.. I think Shandling is a genius for creating the show, but Rip Torn is hilarious in EVERYTHING... Including some movies from the late 60s/70s. Even those that weren't great were still interesting (Playing a psychiatrist who records all his sexcapades, or playing Henry Miller begging for money with a smile)...
Which reminds me, I've been meaning to finish up Season 4 of "It's Garry Shandling's Show" - very creative. He never looked the part, but Garry was quite the searcher of truth.
Did you see the 4 hour Garry Shandling Zen Diaries? I HIGHLY recommend them.. I felt like I knew him, albeit a bit late.;

Yes I did. It was fascinating, but almost a little too personal. It depends upon how much one wants to know about a celebrity.

Yes, it felt like Shandling might not want that out, and I felt like a voyeur at times, but I felt like I knew him much better... I think he was one of the straight-up honest people in Hollywood, and his shows demonstrated that truth.
