"The vampire Django" . . .

I like your use of terminology there, SC!

As it happens, I have been too busy living it up in LA the last few weeks to post very much on the good ol' MoFo!

Just the other day, I was driving through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, checkin' out the scenery, walking along Santa Monica beach, generally having a good time. A week ago, I went ocean-swimming at Redondo Beach--awesome experience! Try it if you ever get the opportunity. A couple of nights ago I found myself in a party on Hollywood Blvd. surrounded by scantily clad women of all shapes and sizes!

Ah . . . life is a beach and I plan to swim in the waves! :D

Django

Oh, yeah, it just occurred to me . . .

This is the "Movie Forums", isn't it? (It was, last time I checked!)

And here I am, just 30 minutes drive from Hollywood! :D

Funny, how life works out! :D

Were they, by any chance, made out of Legos?

Flesh and blood, my friend! Living, breathing babes, all very provocatively dressed! Ah . . . Hollywood! :D

I must add a qualifier, though. Considering that this is Hollywood, one must expect a small percentage of silicone in the women here, but I'm not one to complain! :D

I think this is about the fourth time you've posted this whole "going to LA/scantily-clad women" bit. Strangely, though, you deleted two of your posts on the matter almost right after posting them. Odd.

What's so strange about that, Yoda?

Maybe it's because I'm really stuck in a sewer in New Jersey, fantasizing about this whole LA, Hollywood deal, you might say?

Well, if you say so then it must be true, right? I mean, who am I to argue with the all-knowing Yoda, right? :D

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that Django constantly bemoans our greed-driven, evil consumer-run society, yet winds up in Los Angeles? As anyone who's been there knows, it's the center of the ****ing storm. It's a cesspool of dirty streets and gridlocked traffic and choking smog, with advertisements everywhere...perfect place to get back in touch with 'true' humanity, eh Django?

"Cesspool of dirty streets and gridlocked traffic and choking smog, with advertisements everywhere??!!"

Not so, mon ami! Personally, I think LA is a pretty cool place to be, mainly because of the climate and the beaches and, of course, the babes (goes without saying)! ;D And, of course, Hollywood and Disneyland!

Steve
10-14-03, 03:55 AM

My own feelings about Los Angeles aside, this is what I'm talking about. You complain about how it's society's fault that true human values aren't important to people anymore, yet you take trips to Disneyland. Pull your head out of your ass, or stop being such a counterfeit.

Actually, I haven't taken any recent trips to Disneyland, mostly to the beach to do some ocean swimming and babe-scanning. All totally wholesome, natural and non-commercial! :D I also ate some great seafood at Redondo Beach a couple of weeks ago--fresh ocean catch! Awesome! And a week ago, my boss had a cook-out at his place--steak and shish-kebobs right of the grill! Again, very wholesome, natural and non-commercial! I think I'm staying true to my values, dude!

Yeah, we get it. You keep talking about "The Babes" like way too much! Seriously, give it a rest. Is objectifying women a "True Human Value"? Or do you just want us all to think you're a super-stud? Cause nobody does, and you're just embarrasing yourself. Just be yourself, and maybe everyone wouldn't bash you so much.

Apparently. And it seems there's no contradiction between him "having intimate relations with hundreds of gorgeous women" and his proclaimed Christianity.

Allright. Allright guys. I can't believe I'm jumping to Django's defense here but there are alot of beautiful people in LA. You'd really have to see it to believe it. There's a rule-of-thumb when one is thinking of travelling to the southern west coast: don't come if you have severe self-esteem problems. And if your not accustomed to seeing this all at once, like perhaps Django, then I can see where he might be overwhelmed at the sight. It's like Sweden, everyone over there is beautiful. And we're not talking about the inside beauty--which I prefer--we're talking Calvin Klien, Victoria Secret, Playboy beautiful.

Of course it can be said that the commercialism you abhor is what makes these people so appetizing to look at in the first place.

Actually, I like all three. But they are, arguably, the biggest proponents of commercialism in this country. And yet you like them all. Ergo, you contradict yourself. It's not complicated.

As I said, it's arguable. But you know quite well that whether or not these three are THE biggest is irrelevant, because they're still large proponents of it. Ergo, you're contradicting yourself. And doing a poor job of dodging it, to boot.

Well, sure I believe in the Bible. But where in the Bible does it say it's a sin to hang out at the beach, go swimming in the ocean, eat fresh seafood and check out the babes?
Anyone with even a base level of Biblical knowledge would know quite well that The Bible looks down on many forms of lust and sexual promiscuity. Your alleged LA-oogling would fall under the former, and it seems rather clear to me that your repeated claims of "hundreds of gorgeous women" would fall under the latter.

Another massive ideological contradiction. All in a day's work, eh?

Motive for what?
Making things up. Or, if not making them up, going far, far out of your way to draw attention to them.

That reply is so typical of you, Uday.

You are almost agreeing with what Nikki said by saying the comment was "not bad", but it was clearly against you, saying you pay for sex. Thus, you are agreeing with that comment. But no one just agrees to something like that. It literally makes no sense.

So either you didn't understand her comment, you actually agreed with it, or you though that your reply was a smart and witty comeback. None of those fit in with the way a normal person's brain works. It actually makes no sense, and it's confusing.

And now you'll probably say, "Ha, ha! Clever, but not right!" But what will that prove, other than that I am right and that the way you structure your arguments is completely out of whack?

Gracie

MY NAME'S UDAY
(To be sung to the tune of Happy Together)

Conservatives watch out,
I'm on the prowl,
I'm gonna cause dissent, my friends,
Dissent, and how!
I'm going argue with the Head,
Starting right now.
Just call me Uday.
Oh, yes, I am Uday.

My arguments are flawed,
My logic's f_cked,
I say I'll go away, but then,
You're outta luck,
My reputation it is sh_t,
I think I loved:
But, hey, I am Uday.
The prodigal Uday!

I am hated,
But what would you do without me
to f_ck up your life?
Deep down, Baby, I think that you want me to stay
to keep fighting the fight!

If I think you are wrong,
I'll tell you so,
But if you think that I am wrong,
I'll never know:
I'll simply block my ears and sing
A Beatles song,
'Cause my name is Uday,
Hey Jude, don't be afraid.

I have a thing for men,
I like to hide,
By acting like a male pig,
With wanderin' eyes.
But friends the truth is I like suck-
ing other guys.
Yeah, name is Uday!
I like sci-fi and am gay!

I am hated,
But what would you do without me
to f_ck up your life?
Deep down, Baby, I think that you want me to stay
to keep fighting the fight!

I am hated,
But what would you do without me
to f_ck up your life?
Deep down, Baby, I think that you want me to stay
to keep fighting the fight!

My name's Uday,
What would you do without me
to f_ck up your life?
I think I'm Zorro or the reincarnation of Christ,
I'll keep fighting the good fight!

Recording coming soon.

Even if you were to discount it, however, I said that it is almost always the case. That qualifier was there for a reason. I'm fully aware that certain threads ("Word Association" is an apt example) generate large numbers of replies sans disagreement, but high reply counts are more likely to indicate conflict.

The ultimate point, of course, is that simply generating replies is not inherently indicative of a compelling thread topic. Stirring the pot works just as well as stimulating the mind when it comes to getting people to respond.

First of all, the only person in "disagreement and conflict" with me is YOU. Always. And you have Silver Bullet backing you up with his perverted, juvenile tactics of editing my posts or lying or insulting me. (Frankly, when I think of Silver Bullet, what comes to my mind is "Columbine"--the same delinquent mentality).

Secondly, debating the issues hardly qualifies as "disagreement and conflict". That's the whole point of a forum--to debate the issues and exchange ideas.

Thirdly, this (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=5673) thread has practically no conflict--and whatever little there is in there is completely thanks to your unwarranted intrusion in that thread, along with your flakey flunkey, Silver Bullet. You are the only person in that thread who voices conflicting dissent with me, and I clearly state that fact in the thread.

Sorry, Yoda, but your arguments are a complete eyewash. "Why am I so seemingly hated in here?" Good question. The answer is simple--Yoda hates me, Silver Bullet hates me--and they both have admin privileges! That's pretty much the crux of the matter here.

Ummm…. Part of it might be because he continually doubles, triples, and quadruples posts… in this thread alone, 32 of the posts belong to him…. ;)
Well, firstly, I didn't start this thread. Secondly, this thread is about me, so it stands to reason that I would be one of the major contributors.

What about the three threads I cited above? What's the percentage of my contribution to those threads? How about word counts?

I like how any argument with Django turns into an "I am rubber you are glue..." type argument. It must be his rock, he prides himself in having found the perfect way to turn anything back around on anyone. Elementary school did him some good.:yup:
The reason being that I did not come on this forum to argue, but, rather, to chat with friends. When someone starts an argument with me (as Yoda or Silver Bullet invariably do, first chance they get), my strategy is to get out of that argument asap--not to waste my time pettily bickering with juvenile delinquents. Hence my facetious retorts in reply to their pointless comments.

Well, I get along fine with Sexy Celebrity for the most part. I may not be his closest friend, but you don't see him at my throat all the time. Sure, he makes his share of wisecracks, which he does about everything, and I laugh it off as usual. But I bear him no ill will and I don't think he bears me any either.

So you don't think posting like 10 times in this argument in the last hour is wasting your time with petty arguments? Oh and calling the kindergarten argument facetious doesn't make it any more intelligent, just because you're classifying it with a big word. Its still a childish way to argue. My question is if your point is not to waste your time then why post at all in these situations because that is all you are doing b/c they all end up the same every single time.

This isn't even close to true. Brian, Cait, Annie, Toose, Jason, nebbit, n7of9, Austruck, Beale, Steve, Tim, Gol, Pidzilla, and Monkeypunch (the last five of which are very liberal, by the way) have all expressed notable disagreement with your list of complaints at various times...some of them many times.

But if you mean that I engage you more than anyone else, you're absolutely right, and given your massive list of contradictions and outright lies, I make no apologies for it, either.

Secondly, debating the issues hardly qualifies as "disagreement and conflict". That's the whole point of a forum--to debate the issues and exchange ideas.
Of course it qualifies. You don't debate something, for the most part, if you don't first disagree about it. I didn't say all disagreement was bad. It can be respectful and educational (Pidzilla, Gol, etc), or it can be infantile (you).

Thirdly, this (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=5673) thread has practically no conflict--and whatever little there is in there is completely thanks to your unwarranted intrusion in that thread, along with your flakey flunkey, Silver Bullet. Ignoring the fact that that thread has lots of conflict (and that the trouble started when you refused to answer a question, despite soliciting them), I'll simply note that I am not by a long shot the only one who speaks out against you in that thread. Silver, SC, Hondo and nebbit are all critical of you, as well.

Sorry, Yoda, but your arguments are a complete eyewash. "Why am I so seemingly hated in here?" Good question. The answer is simple--Yoda hates me, Silver Bullet hates me--and they both have admin privileges! That's pretty much the crux of the matter here.
Silver doesn't have admin privileges. Even if he did, though, that still wouldn't explain why you're "hated." Not once has a person here cited anything we've done as their reason for disliking you. I defy (scratch that: I yet again defy you) you to produce a single member who has formed an ill opinion of you based on something other than your own words.

Very quickly, before I quit this thread (for now):

This isn't even close to true. Brian, Cait, Annie, Toose, Jason, nebbit, n7of9, Austruck, Beale, Steve, Tim, Gol, Pidzilla, and Monkeypunch (the last five of which are very liberal, by the way) have all expressed notable disagreement with your list of complaints at various times...some of them many times.
Ah, sure, many people have occasionally expressed their disagreement with me. But you're the ONLY one (along with your croney, Silver Bullet) who relentlessly carries on a private vendetta against me.

But if you mean that I engage you more than anyone else, you're absolutely right, and given your massive list of contradictions and outright lies, I make no apologies for it, either.
Oh, what about YOUR lies and contradictions? Look, if I contradict myself over minor issues, so what? I didn't come on this message board to write a freakin' thesis, only to chat with people. Your tendency is to take every trivial comment I might make and inflate it way out of proportion. That is an EXTREMELY annoying tendency, and MANY, MANY people have commented on this fact. The fact that you harp on and on about EVERY little thing I say, regardless of what it is, proves that you are not interested in debating the issues, only in personally attacking me. I.e. you are only concerned with your private vendettas. More evidence of misconduct on your part?

Of course it qualifies. You don't debate something, for the most part, if you don't first disagree about it. I didn't say all disagreement was bad. It can be respectful and educational (Pidzilla, Gol, etc), or it can be infantile (you).
That is a COMPLETE LIE! You're the one who turns all my discussions into personal vendettas. I have, on several occasions, civilly discussed the issues with a number of people, only to have those discussion threads turned into a battleground of delinquents, in every case, the conflict being initiated either by you or Silver Bullet. IN EVERY CASE! If you deny this you are an OUTRIGHT LIAR!

Oh, is that why he is able to edit my posts? As for why I am "hated", I think it's obvious--you and Silver Bullet, my primary antagonists, have admin priveleges. Consequently, how reliable or fair can we expect any polls or popularity indicators in here to be? I submit that if the admin is biased against you, nothing is reliable or dependable at all. It's all part of a massive eyewash. As, for example, the obvious, patent lies cited by you just a few posts earlier.

And with that, I'm out of here, because I have better things to do than to waste my time arguing with a cantankerous buffoon!

So? The point is that I've got plenty of company in my assessment of you. The fact that I'm the only who routinely bothers to confront you over it is irrelevant.

Oh, what about YOUR lies and contradictions? Look, if I contradict myself over minor issues, so what? I didn't come on this message board to write a freakin' thesis, only to chat with people.
They're not minor. They're significant, and they are legion.

My "tendency" is to do one thing and one thing only: hold people accountable for what they say. You get extra attention because you have shown yourself to have no regard for the truth. Seeing as how you continually deny this, you leave me with no choice but to demonstrate it.

That is a COMPLETE LIE! You're the one who turns all my discussions into personal vendettas. AND this (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=5103). AND THIS (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=5366).

My, we've got a short memory, don't we? You've picked plenty of fights, my friend.

I'd be willing to wager that 99.9% of the "conflict" I've "initiated" started because you said something unreasonable or untrue.

Again, there's a difference between a few people occasionally voicing criticism of me (and I have criticized them too) and your tendency of continuing a private vendetta against me, along with your screwy sidekick, Silver Bullet.
Whether or not I have a "private vendetta" against you (I don't think my feelings go beyond distaste) doesn't matter. Even if I did, that wouldn't inherently invalidate anything I've said.

This is not unlike your accusation of racism. Let's pretend I am a monomaniac racist with a private vendetta; it wouldn't change the truth of what I'm saying one iota. The fact that you target me, rather than my arguments, speaks volumes about the strength (or lack thereof) of your position.

Oh, is that why he is able to edit my posts? As for why I am "hated", I think it's obvious--you and Silver Bullet, my primary antagonists, have admin priveleges. Because he's a moderator. Don't bandy around forum lingo if you're going to get it wrong.

How reliable are the polls? Well, let's see: seeing as how every vote within a poll can be made public, and every person can speak up if their vote is not tallied correctly, I'd say it can be very accurate. You don't think so, of course, because the results aren't favorable to you.

As, for example, the obvious, patent lies cited by you just a few posts earlier.
Yes, obvious and patent lies, because out of nearly 5,500 threads, you found three exceptions (exceptions which I discounted for in my original statement, to boot).

And with that, I'm out of here, because I have better things to do than to waste my time arguing with a cantankerous buffoon!
